Summary: We had an amazing stay at Quinta do Scoto in Portugal. This is a truly unique and peaceful property, perfect for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature. Maria was an exceptional host—warm, genuine, attentive, and always happy to help. She made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived. The property is beautiful, with three calm horses, two friendly dogs, and a wonderful variety of fruit trees that add to its charm. The swimming pool was spotless and very well maintained, making it a great place to unwind. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a good selection of fresh food, including freshly baked bread rolls, croissants, and eggs cooked to order. If you’re looking for a tranquil, friendly, and authentic place to stay in Portugal, we highly recommend Quinta do Scoto. It was a memorable experience, and we would gladly return.

Summary: Favorite hotel on our trip! A fantastic place to escape. Probably would have stayed our whole time there in retrospect! Short drive from airport. Our room was beautiful in old unique building but clean and spacious for all 5 of us. The kids loved the animals, games, and yard to run around in. The pool was refreshing and lovely. Easy to drive to beaches and Sintras after starting the day off with a delicious breakfast! The host was so welcoming and travel instructions were so helpful. Thank you for the wonderful stay! Five stars!

Summary: this stay was magical, located in a smaller town near Sintra, Maria makes you feel so welcomed and comfortable. The rooms are spacious, clean and out of a fairytale. The surrounding nature is beautiful and you can still enjoy an evening in Lisbon with just a 30 minute drive!

Summary: Unique building, quiet area( except for local dogs barking) good parking. Wonderful outdoor space. The hosts lives there, has dogs. They are well behaved (they weren't barking) horses too! Playground, trampoline, soccer net. Beautiful little garden with a chess set. A kitchen available. The breakfast was exceptional, she put actual love into the food.

Summary: A little slice of paradise! The old converted farmhouse is beautiful and charming. The staff is very friendly and accommodating and the room huge by any standard especially for Europe. Beautiful pool and fruit and flower trees everywhere! Two very sweet but large dogs, so keep that in mind if tou are afraid of dogs. My eight-year-old and four-year-old loved them. You need a car here as everything is a 5 minute drive away including the train. The host was for than helpful and accommodating, helping you plan your visit, providing train tickets etc. We loved our stay here and plan on being back.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay very much; our room was one of the largest we've ever stayed in, very clean and with such comfortable beds, the property is also on lovely grounds. The children enjoyed playing in the salt water pool situated right outside our room, and our wonderful host Maria even dug out some floaties for them to use in there. Maria goes out of her way to make you feel at home, assisting with travel (taxi/ train) and restaurant information, and is always on hand to help with anything else you need during your stay. We will definitely stay again.
