Summary: Beautiful place! Rooms, facilities and restaurant were great. Continental breakfast included a huge variety of really good quality food. A 20 minute walk from the train station up a small hill. Beautiful views of the Douro valley!

Summary: Beautiful hotel resort with gorgeous rooms, many having wonderful views over the Douro River and so too do both the fine dining and casual restaurant. Quinta de la Rosa also affords access to walks along its extensive vineyards. The rooms were very comfortable with good aircon and superb bathroom/shower, the only downside being that the climb up/down stairs can be difficult, especially if you're lugging a suitcase.

Summary: We had a great stay. Very helpful staff. Good breakfast. Walked to river for kayak and boat tour. Great wines. Pool was great on a hot day. Very clean and comfortable. Parking was tight. Need small car. There were some stairs to our room if that matters.

Summary: Super excellent accomodation in the magnificent Douro river surrounding. Super fine vineyard experience with tastings. The staff was most attentive and restaurant excellent. The nearby Pinhao village was like a time traveling to -60'/-70's! The train trip from Porto was very picturesque.

Summary: Not a typical layout for hotel as rooms are located around the property, but this just adds to the wonderful setting. Parking was easy, location to town is walkable if you want...about a mile, but nice and safe. The views are outstanding, even from my standard room. Dinner and breakfast was both wonderful. Pinhao is a simple town, a little gritty, but in a "time forgot" kind of way, not at all unsafe. Plenty of boat options from town. Several simple restaurant options as well, plus great options for hikes right from town center or short drive up the vineyard slopes.

Summary: One of the best places I've ever stayed. Room was spotlessly clean, breakfast amazing, and location spectacular. Every person working there was wonderful. Easy walk to town, and lots of hiking trails to discover. I hope we can return someday!
