If you are not wanting to cook in the fully furnished kitchen or perhaps want a craft brew you are only a 15 minute ride from the resort communities of Saugatuck and South Haven.
This architecturally distinct home with plenty of natural sunlight can accommodate up to 12 adults with ease. The house includes an enclosed, lake facing, west porch that connects directly with the kitchen with a wood burning fireplace, an open porch that surrounds the house and a private east facing porch (also connecting to the kitchen) with a gas grill. The backyard is gated and fenced- perfect for yard games such as cornhole (provided)or to let small kids or pets roam freely.
Entering the main floor you will notice it is open concept with a large living room, dining room, breakfast bar and kitchen. In the living room there is a gas fireplace, plenty of seating and gorgeous views of the lake. The main floor also contains a full bathroom with shower.
The lower level features a game room for the kids featuring air hockey, foosball, arcades and other games. There is also a living area with a projector and large screen, full bathroom with shower, a laundry room, a bunk room 4 beds, and a queen size bedroom. The lower level has an abundance of natural light.
The Upper level features the main bedroom with a queen size bed, an enclosed sun room, a gas fireplace, full bathroom with shower and heated floors. Summary: We stayed in this house for a family weekend and loved it. The house was spacious and comfortable for a family of 9, and we loved the wrap around porch area with the gas fire pit. It was also great that the backyard was fenced for our dog. The host was communicative and quick to answer questions, and provide important information. You do have beach access if you drive there, but it’s not walkable like we thought. The listing also says there’s a hot tub but there isn’t- I think they maybe meant that one of the bath tubs has jets. Overall it was a great stay!

Summary: The house was extremely clean, the basement was great for our kids to play with videos games or air hockey, huge movie screen and huge bunk bed for them to stay in. The backyard and corner lot was nice for the kids to play safely also. The house had a nice big layout but great family feel to it. The kitchen and grill was easy to use and plenty of room to cook in. Just a great view from all the windows and loved the sun deck above to relax and get away. Very nice house and setup. We loved it!

Summary: My entire family spent a full week in this beautiful home in a beautiful setting. There was plenty to do, places to visit and shop, beaches to explore, and great food to eat. We loved being able to sit together on the porch in the evenings, watching the glorious sunsets, and relishing the cool evenings, creating lasting memories for years to come. The home was clean, offered plenty of privacy and community space, the 4 bedrooms and 4 baths were perfect. The house was well-stocked with plenty of basic essentials like toilet paper, tissues, detergent, and so forth. The laundry facilities were a welcome addition. Plenty of towels (bath and beach) were provided and all linens were fresh and clean. The kitchen is well-appointed with up-to-date appliances that all work well, and there are plenty of dishes, pots/pans, silverware, glasses, and a wonderful gas grill outside. The home is centrally-located, just minutes drive to South Haven, Saugatuck and Holland. The setting, amongst tall trees, within hearing of the waves breaking on the beach, offering gorgeous sunsets, and cool evening breezes is idyllic. We had a fantastic visit, had great interaction with our host on several questions and comments - he was super easy to reach and was very responsive - and spent a most memorable week together! I highly recommend this property to anyone!

Summary: We booked this house for 3 families (6 adults and 5 kids ages 6-10). There was plenty of space without feeling crowded. 2 of the Queen bedrooms are on the top floor and the other queen bedroom is in the basement next to the "kids" room with bunkbeds. You are able to see Lake Michigan from the house, but will need to walk about 2 blocks to get to the beach. The house is well stocked. The kids LOVED the basement and the adults loved the enclosed porch. The neighborhood is very quiet and secluded. The owner answered our questions very promptly.

Summary: This property, tucked in a rural setting between South Haven and Saugatuck, is extraordinary. We spent 5 days/4 nights there with our family of 6 adults and 6 kids, with the latter between ages 7 and 1. Although adjacent to a beautiful, isolated portion of Lake Michigan, beach access required a short walk or golf cart (supplied by the owner) ride to the beach. Regardless of how you get to the beach it is worth it! When not at the beach, nor in South Haven or Saugatuck, the kids were kept happily occupied by the multitude of arcade games in the arcade room and movies in the theatre room. The 3-story house is an architectural delight and the main floor is decorated in what I would call “Frank Lloyd Wright” style. The house easily accommodates large groups, while nooks and crannies both inside and outside provide privacy when desired. We encountered a few minor annoyances during our stay. Some consumable amenities had not been replenished, trash and recycling from the prior week had not been put out for pick-up, and a few minor repairs were needed. We contacted the owner, who despite being away on a family vacation responded promptly. The owner offered to meet with us on check-out morning so we could walk him through the items we felt required his attention. He seemed genuinely concerned and I trust that these items will be quickly rectified. Despite these annoyances all adults agreed they would be willing to come back to this property again.

Summary: Large house with plenty of room, nooks to rest, wrap around porch, game room and garage. Gated access to beach is just a short walk south down the street but with a steep road to get back. There is public access to a great sunset view just a half a block to the north (path to a couple of benches on the shore's cliff). No instructions or labeling so discovering how things work takes some effort. No hot tub but a sauna on the porch.
