Summary: Pros: quiet, peaceful lake, private, great fishing. Cons: could use a good cleaning, camps needs some maintenance and upkeep, ladder to the loft is very steep and poor railings. Greatest con: lake doesn’t have a public boat launch which my son in law found out about by happenstance before our arrival..thankfully. We were not informed about that by the owner even though in my first inquiry about renting his place I told him we had a 16 ft motorboat we wanted to bring. Luckily another very nice camp owner let us use their private launch or this would have been a huge deal! Beautiful lake but we won’t be back.

Summary: This place has potential and is probably fine for just a few people who do not mind "roughing it". We arrived to find several listed appliances/amenities out of order or unusable, and the place did not seem ready for renters. It is a good location for exploring Baxter State Park via the north entrance and other local trails, and the pond was lovely.
