Summary: The hotel was very good, the issue we had was in the bathroom the lighting was not great & in the room could have done with better lighting by the mirror. Storage was ok for 1 night but Was not enough if for a longer stay as no drawers. Could do with a chest of drawers in the room instead of a table. The staff were very helpful and polite, especially at breakfast. Hotel was in a great position and parking was good.

Summary: We loved the property. It has a lot of history, including hand painted wallpaper in the atrium/stairs that dates back to 1838. Breakfast was good and the staff at the front desk were wonderful and very helpful. Very convenient to walking, shopping and dining. Unfortunately, I only gave 3 stars because the beds and bedding were VERY uncomfortable and the rooms were very warm. We even switched to a new room hoping it would be better but were unfortunately disappointed. If they update their mattresses and bedding, this would be a wonderful place to stay.

Summary: The room was large and comfortable, liked the coffee machine, staff were pleasant, breakfast was mediocre, bar was nice enough. The restaurant menu was a bit limited, the Raymond Blanc bratissie 100 yards round the corner was much better. Having to pay £17.50 a night for the use of a disabled parking space in their almost empty car park is just sheer greed and is sufficient to deter me from staying again.
