Summary: This place is lovely. Quiet rooms facing inward toward the pool. Tall pine trees all around the property. Amazing happy hour for two hours with free drinks! Lovely pool and courteous staff.

Summary: It is a reasonably priced stay at an older hotel that could use a little sprucing up. While having the sink in a separate area from the shower and WC was a plus, having carpet in the sink area is not great. Beds and furnishings showed their age, though the cabinets had been re- painted. Drop tile in the bathroom for ceiling was odd. AC worked great and the room was quiet.

Summary: Checking in and out was nice. Our room was a double bed queen. When we arrived we checked out the shower. The tub wouldn’t drain so needed to have maintenance come in and fix the issue. Had to ask the gentleman for cleaning supplies to disinfect the gunk that came out of the drain as he was going to leave the room with leaving the tub dirty Still didn’t feel comfortable after he sprayed it down and wiped it with a rag. We laid a towel in there when showering. The corners of the ceiling had cob webs. Breakfast was great! As well as the staff. Lefty was very friendly and welcoming. We kept receiving calls that we were making noise. When we spent very little to no time in the room. When we wouldn’t answer the room phone they would call our personal phone. We were not present in the room when they called.

Summary: This is a “pet friendly” hotel. Our room smelled like cat pee unfortunately. There was also noticeable cat hair around in different areas. It’s nice to give people a place to stay if they have animals. But I think the cleaning standards should account for this and attempt to leave no trace of animals whatsoever for the next guest.

Summary: Wonderful stay, room spacious though facing street but thankfully travel pretty much stops during sleeping times. Cute balcony, beautiful property, wonderful full breakfast. Did not enjoy the happy hour nor the b-b-q upon arrival, ut a wonderful amenity to provide the traveler.

Summary: Quality Suites Downtown SLO is a nice property, with clean rooms, cooked breakfast included, and a great location for visiting the local university, downtown businesses/ events, wineries, or local beaches. The room was comfortable and clean, but the bed was decidedly worn (confirmed by sleeping in the center 'divot'). The shower was quite good and the included bath products were 'ok'. This is a reasonable place to stay when expectations are tempered, considering the nightly price (which IMHO is on the high side with a serious up-charge based on significant local university events (or seasonality), which unfortunately occurs in many industries these days. I would stay here again, but will also check other options in the local area.

Summary: The room was very spacious and offered excellent comfort. The beds were great. The room was quiet and the breakfast very good and generous. Location also very convenient to downtown and restaurants. Would book again when visiting SLO!
