Positive: The fantastic location provides breathtaking views of the valley, making every moment special. The natural spa is wonderful, offering soothing thermal baths in a serene setting. Service is attentive and welcoming, ensuring a comfortable stay. The spacious and elegant rooms add to the charm, with stunning valley views. To top it all off, the breakfast is excellent, featuring a delicious spread to start the day. A perfect retreat for relaxation and rejuvenation!

Negative: The spa facilities can get overcrowded, especially on weekends. However, for hotel guests, the first hour in the morning (8:30-9:30) remains quite peaceful, even on busy days. The Bormio ski resort is just a 10-minute drive away. It is a relatively small resort, best suited for beginner and intermediate skiers, though it does offer some long runs and some opportunities for off-piste skiing.

Positive: I was so blown away on all the relaxing types of rooms the spa had. The highlight was the cave to the grotto, and the infinity thermal spa.

Negative: We would have liked to eat dinner in our robes since it is a spa.

Summary: Was the most unique hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

Positive: Location was amazing, Spa was fantastic with amazing pool views, food was excellent

Negative: Rooms too hot, you cannot be a luxury hotel if you have no sleep quality. If I want to turn myself into a jacket potato sitting in my microwave is cheaper. Yes there is climate change but I am typing this from a room in the same region that costs a third of the price with climate control air conditioning. This hotel is too focused on day guests. As a resident it's impossible to get a drink as they shut restaurant in between day guests bun fight special till dinner. Reception told us to go to restaurant and ask for a drink there. We found initially a negative approach, not open, etc, before finally making a point we couldn't buy anything anywhere within hotel as no bar.

Positive: Very charming historic hotel in a beautiful location with incredible views. We were upgraded to a spacious suite which was a delightful surprise and very much appreciated as we were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday. Great spa facilities including ancient Roman baths and a wonderful outdoor infinity pool with panoramic views. Very comfortable bed, very clean and has a real sense of history. Good breakfast.

Negative: Shower not great - mounted too low for my husbands to get under. Restaurant food was average and seemed reheated rather than freshly cooked to order. The hotel access was blocked off due to a bike race and while we understand it was outside the hotel’s control, the staff seemed very confused about whether the road was open, when it would open etc…. - they needed to be on top of this to keep guests informed.

Summary: Great birthday escape.
