Negative: the hut and the farm around it is very run down and needs a lot of money spent to bring it up to standard for what they charge it looks very tired nothing like the pictures which was obviously taken a long time ago very deceiving disappointed.

Positive: If you're looking for something remote this is the place for you. We stayed in the puddle duck shepherds hut. Sue was a lovely host, we only saw kev from the shepherds hut tending to the pregnant sheep. Sadly we didn't see any lambs born during our stay which would have made my day but we were a bit early for that. Even though we came out of season there was plenty to do. The hut was fully equipped with everything you need. The fold down bed was very comfy and the bedding was egyptian cotton and felt so luxurious. At a little extra cost you can buy home made sausages, bacon,eggs, burgers and home made bread. The sausages especially were amazing. Sue even popped to the shops for some butter on her way back from swimming. Nothing was too much trouble. She kept us informed through text when they would not be onsite. The shower and hot tub are amazing. Fluffy towels and toweling gowns provided. The shepherds hut warms up very quickly. Thank you so much Sue and Kev for your hospitality, I loved hearing about your journey. Good luck with this coming season. Su and Rob

Negative: Using the toilet at night walking between the two rooms. But that was a me thing and worth it for the shower room you get.
