Summary: Parking was easy and location easy to find. I was given the codes to get into the hotel since no one works there on Mondays. The exterior door lock was broken and was just open. Then when I found my room, it had not been cleaned. Old towels in the bathroom & hanging on the back of the door, trash still there from the last guest. I had to search the other rooms for unused towels, shampoo and soap. Unsure if the sheets were changed so slept on the couch for my 3 day stay.

Summary: TV did not work. Sink had hot water only. Restaurant was closed- no place to find ice. No employees on site

Summary: Reading the other reviews on this property, one may shy away from it. Those reviews could not be further from truth, then what we experienced at the Publick House. This hotel is quaint and has old world charm. Our room was oversized with a separate sitting area with a pullout sofa. All the rooms including the bathroom were clean and well appointed. The staff is quite friendly and very accommodating. Very nice terrace/balcony for guests to sit outside. Although there is no breakfast service, there are Keurig’s in every room that are replenished each day. The staff will also direct you to The French pastry shop or Sally Lund’s, which are both within walking distance. We did not have a chance to eat at PH restaurant, but the menu looked diverse and interesting. Still can’t understand all the bad reviews.

Summary: It was a suite with style. I would suggest upgrading your towels and providing some more hand and wash clothes. The mattresses were a bit lumpy. Still, it was an interesting place to stay.
