Positive: Very cosy bed with soft and clean sheets

Negative: The fish and chips place underneath has a very strong fried food smell that contaminates a bit of the house, even though there’s lots of air fresheners and it smells like clean laundry. It’s not a dealbreaker but if you have a sensitive nose it could be a bit overwhelming

Positive: Value for money, need to clean the bathroom but no problems afterwards, older English house, everything is audible but quiet at night, kitchen equipped, towels available, toiletries also, no reduction to European socket in the room, only two USB per room, definitely take a reduction to electricity. Internet worked well, for the money I would go to the same place again, about 45 minutes by bus to the Centre

Positive: I liked that we had our privacy in the room, as we had our own key. The location wasn’t bad, it was around 3-5min away from a Tesco, even though there were a few shops around the apartment. The train station was a few minutes away, but we didn’t even go there, we just decided to take buses instead. For reference, if you want to take a bus, you should walk towards Tesco, walk in that direction for 5min straight, and wait in a bus stop in which the #26 Bus stop. We used to get off the bus at the ‘Mason House’ stop. And on the way back, we would take the "District Line" subway to "Embankment". From Embankment, we would change trains and get on the other one until we got off at ‘Mason House’. Then, we would walk towards the exit (you gotta go upstairs in a dark zone, which looks pretty scary) to bus stop #26 (it has like a K on the stop and is next to a red telephone box), and get off at ‘Holcroft’. From there, we would just walk to the apartment. I read the reviews and some people said that there was a fish&chips under the apt. That’s not the case, the apt is PART of the fish&chips restaurant. When we came we were so confused, cuz it went from 216 to 220, and there was no 218, there was only a fish& chips in between. So we decided to ask the staff inside, and they told us it was there. It’s a blue door, and it says “218 Well Street”. You gotta push that door, and walk like 5m and open another door. In those 5m, you can tell, you’re IN the restaurant but in another hall. It was funny that every time we came to the apt, there were some customers having lunch-dinner, and we just came out of nowhere so they were pretty shocked. BUT there was NO smell of fish and chips.

Negative: The stairs. There are 4 floors; on the 1st one, there’s the kitchen, which is shared AND it also has a bathroom in it. it has an oven, a microwave, a fridge, 2 washing machines, etc. (For spanish people, there are no napkins in the kitchen, you gotta use toilet paper, there are many rolls in the closet which is next to the table). On the 2nd floor, there are two rooms. On the 3rd one, there also two rooms, one of them is the one in the pics. And on the last floor, there’s a tiny bathroom (if you’re really tall, your back is gonna hurt real bad. it’s the loft of the building). PLEASE BE CAREFUL with the stairs, my friend fell off the stairs from the bathroom to our room (4rd floor to 3rd floor), we had a bad time. To me, it felt claustrophobic because of the stairs, but the room is okay, and so is the kitchen. The bathroom upstairs doesn’t feel that bad. I didn’t like there was NO mirror in the bathroom, no carpet and no hairdryer (it’s downstairs, in the kitchen). In the room, there were no nightstands, not a good mirror (there was a tiny mirror in the closet). And there was no place to hang the clothes, so it was pretty hard to wash your clothes and dry them off, as the bathroom is shared. I mentioned there are 2 washing machines in the kitchen, we didn’t use them. In the kitchen, we were missing some scissors, and some other stuff. Also, the toaster wasn’t working.
