Positive: Loved the lake access and water craft available for use and how close it is to peggys cove. The property manager also went above and beyond in providing a cable for use to charge our electric vehicle which was extremely helpful.

Negative: The overall cleanliness of the cottage could have been better, especially since there was a flat $150 cleaning fee even though we were there for less than 24 hrs. It would be better to have a sliding scale of a cleaning fee dependant on how long your stay is. When we arrived the entrance smelled like wet dog, we had to air out the place. Also the electric heat came on automatically overnight and we were sweating like crazy even with the A/C on because we had no idea that would be on in early august!

Summary: A few tweaks and this place would be much better

Positive: The location, access to the lake, coziness, cleanliness. Had what was needed to cook! The stairs and pretty lights were very romantic!

Negative: I wish charcoal was included as it’s not something one can easily buy a small amount of. Hot water in the shower was pretty short lived. Not the end of the world but required some planning.

Positive: The location was perfect for us as a jump off point for all of our trips around NS from sightseeing to hiking...Peggy's Cove and Halifax were very easy to get to. The cottage is located in a peaceful neighbourhood and view from the balcony is gorgeous. The cottage was clean and comfortable and the kitchen had nearly everything we needed for cooking simple meals. Being able to do laundry while we were there helped a lot. We would definitely stay here again (hopefully in the summer so we can take advantage of the other amenities)!

Negative: There are stairs to get to the property so not very accessible for anyone with mobility issues.

Positive: Our 2 night stay was perfect. It's so peaceful and the surroundings are beautiful. It felt like we were a million miles away from everything. The cottage was stocked with everything you could ever need.( including spices). We loved it so much, we already booked a weekend in the summer.
