Spacious, stylishly furnished, ranch home 3 miles to Joshua Tree National Park. PRIVATE Pool, hot tub, dart board & pool table. Gated compound with a large yard, gardens, trees, and outside seating. This pool house is a luxurious getaway and launchpad for your desert adventures, & soak up desert vibes. Hang out by the private pool/ hot tub with double doors opening to game room. We also rent the cabin next door to larger parties (ask us), however both houses are private, separate experiences.
"Forever 29" is spacious 1,200 sq foot post WWII house is located in 29 Palms, in close proximity to Joshua Tree National Park, Wonder Valley, and comfortable driving distance to Historic Pioneertown (with Pappy and Harriet's Pioneertown Palace), the Lander's Integratron, and Palm Springs. It's also a 15 minute walk to the 29 Palms Inn for dinner and drinks.
This house provides a perfect vacation-feel and lots of space for everyone to be comfortable. There are two bedrooms, each with a view of Joshua Tree National Park, queen bed, and plenty of closet and dresser space. The master bedroom has an attached bathroom and direct pool access. The other bedroom has a writing desk and is adjacent to a bathroom. The office/ den with fold down couch is a perfect place to lounge and enjoy the peaceful feel of the desert. The spacious living room, comfortable couch, pool table and dart board opens up to the gorgeous desert-landscaped backyard with pool and hot tub.
We do accept parties over 6 guests if guests are comfortable sleeping on a couch. The fold out couch is not the most comfortable, however the sectional couch near pool table is quite comfortable.
This is an older house with quirks and idiosyncrasies. If you are looking for a Hilton/ Ace Hotel experience this is not a good place for you to book. Please take this into consideration before booking. We use a central evaporative cooler to cool the home, which keeps the house at a comfortable temperature except under extreme humidity levels, at which point we use the AC system. If you require hotel level AC temperatures, once again this may not be the best booking for you.
We also rent the cabin next door (Desert Writer's Retreat) for larger groups. This cabin is separate from this house and both houses are private.
Pet fee $30 per pet, and we must approve any and all pets prior to booking so please give details when you request to book. Please let us know if you are bringing any pets. $30 per guest over 6 people and please review sleeping arrangements before booking.

Summary: Our party of three (6yo in tow)enjoyed the pool, puzzles, record player, organ, darts, and pool table along with the space to spread ourselves out around the house. We were there for one night, so we took it all in briefly. We would definitely go back for a longer stay the next time. Our host was apprehensive to host us at first as I was a new user to the app (no rating) but was very communicative and informative regarding our stay and the house and I'm appreciative they gave us a chance to stay.The only star I took off for cleanliness was due to the dining table being sticky, finding a half empty bottle of soda in the kitchen, many cigarette butts on the rear porch, and the many bugs in the pool. There was a mostly working pool skimmer I was able to use, so that helped a bit. For the price of the cleaning fee, I'd expect a clean dining table at least.

Summary: Great place for two couples. We stayed overnight with some friends. The weather was too cold to enjoy the pool, but we did get to relax in the spa. The pool table made for a fun night as well. Would definitely stay here again if out in the area.

Summary: Older as described but upgraded where necessary. Quirky in all the right ways. The game room was the place to be. Just a few miles from the park entrance, close enough to stores etc, but not in the mix of everything if that’s your preference. Timely communication from owner as needed. Pet friendly, great fenced in space for our dog.

Summary: Decor, personal touches, vibe, etc. of this place was wonderful. The desert landscaping was gorgeous. Pool and hot tub were both great, cooling in the home was quite sufficient. We loved this stay.

Summary: The pictures really didn’t do this house proper justice! We had such a great stay here over the weekend! The game room with the pool table was much larger and comfier than it appears in pictures. It was such an ideal room to hang out in at night after lounging outside in the pool all day. The little pops of color outside made this such a picturesque little desert retreat! Security fence kept everything safe and locked in. It feels fairly private but you are not far from any shopping/grocery you may need. Kitchen was stocked for easy cooking. Would definitely love to stay here again!

Just close enough to town to go get dinner or run to the store, but far enough away to feel secluded. The pool was a perfect way to relax after hiking at the National Park every day.
