The Little Red House is a split level home that includes 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. On the upper level it has 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen and living rooms. The lower level consists of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and laundry with washer and dryer. Nestled back into a half acre lot with beautiful trees and lots of parking. This home gives you the "Up North" feel, while being close to the hustle and bustle or Chetek, Cameron, Rice Lake and Barron. This also has easy access (Roughly 100 yards) to the public boat landing and public boat landing parking. This home is also located on the UTV/ATV and snowmobile trails. There is a private dock at the end of the block. We are half block in from Prairie Lake.

Summary: Loved the decor. Also enjoyed using the fire pit. The mosquito netted patio was also a great place to hang out in the evening. Loved the Keurig. With the stairs leading up to the house, I would not recommend this house to anyone having to use a walker or wheelchair. Fortunately, no one staying there had that issue.

Summary: Great location near lake and boat landing with a nice lot with some woods in the back. Appreciated the swing set, dog tie outs, fire pit and game room especially. Comfortable furniture. Simple check in and communication. An outdoor power wash of the house and pest control visit would improve this property to lower the spider count outside.

Summary: As is, we would not stay here again. I’m hoping with a little constructive criticism, the property owners will get this place into 4- or 5-star shape. First, for me, to get a 5-star review, the property at least needs to meet “hotel standards”. Basic amenities most hotels offer include providing toilet paper and travel size toiletries. Second, the property is quite wooded, which I love. Our personal residence is wooded, but that does require a bit more maintenance to keep it in good shape. I would suggest more regular maintenance externally as so many cobwebs and bugs deterred us from using most outdoor amenities. It was pretty obvious this property has not had a thorough external clean up for a while. Third, the place in general just needs a little TLC to feel homier and cozier. Neither our 8yr old or 14yr old wanted to sleep in the third bedroom downstairs. It was just too unappealing and uncomfortable. These two girls preferred to sleep together and share a bedroom instead of having their own. I have stayed at several VRBOs, and it’s obvious to me who really takes pride in their property and who really enjoys entertaining and providing good hospitality. I reserve my 5-star ratings for them. While this property has potential to get there, it’s not there yet. The neighborhood is nice. The fire pit is nice. The short walk to the private dock is no problem. WiFi was appreciated. Lots of potential :-)

Summary: Accommodations we great! Everything clean and everyday kitchen utensils, bowls, cutting boards, pot and pans and dishwasher!!Making meals was easy because all needed was there! Washer and dryer great for midweek suits and towels! Outdoor set up perfect- deck, covered screen tent, gas grill and fire pit/patio. Felt very safe in neighborhood.

Summary: The cabin description does not accurately describe how far away the dock and water is from the cabin. No shoreline at all at the dock. The water was super, super green with algae and not suitable for swimming at all. The cabin, amenities and backyard was great. Had a great stay.

Summary: Easy check-in and comfy beds! Near boat launch. We would have loved for the property to have dressers for our week long stay. Make sure you bring your own extra toilet paper! Overall good stay.

Summary: Nice place. Plenty of room and seating. Rules were easy to follow. Slightly disappointed that there wasn't a good view of the lake, but that would not keep us from visiting the property again. Property management contact was very nice and helpful.

Summary: I really liked the house and the neighborhood, but make sure to read carefully that the private boat access is at the end of the road. This property is not directly on the lake and there is no swimming area. If you only want boat access and are not concerned with a view of the lake, this a great spot. It's quiet and the house is well kept. Our children loved playing cornhole and Ms. Pac-Man!
