Rural location and set far back off the road makes this a great space for a weekend in the country, staycation, or writer's retreat! Fantastic sunset views are to be experienced year round in the dining room/kitchen. We are not a waterfront property, but we have a lovely view of the Avon River.
The Apartment is attached to the main farmhouse, but has its own entrance and is set farther back from the driveway and parking. We're set far off the road (Highway 215), on a working farm where we grow vegetables for a local farmers' market and raise animals. Along with the market garden, we also grow many flowers in our flowers beds around the house and over the property. Expect to see (and occasionally hear) cows, horses, chickens, and our dog during your stay (don't worry, you don't have to interact with her if you don't want to!).
1 hour from Halifax, 50 minutes from the Halifax International Airport, 45 minutes from Wolfville and Acadia University.

Summary: Friendly hosts and a beautiful property. A few tourist attractions and beaches to visit. Local markets and a restaurant nearby as well. My stay involved a regular trip to Wolfville, NS, so the drive was a bit long, but I was expecting that. The residence was quiet and very comfortable. No microwave in the suite, but the kitchen was equipped. I'm sure a microwave is available if needed. I recommend this place.

Summary: We had a 3 night stay booked in late September. When we arrived on a cold rainy day the apartment was 60 degrees. The host was unable to provide heat because there was "no oil in the boiler". She did attempt to solve the problem with space heaters, which tripped the circuit breakers. We decided to cut our losses and left after one night. In general the property was in definite need of home improvement. The furniture and beds were uncomfortable. We will be contacting VRBO for an acceptable refund as we were unable to come to an agreement with the host.

Summary: Very remote, miles from anywhere but suited our needs perfectly as it was close to family we came to visit. Rustic home in need of upgrading, but well equipped, good living space and clean and tidy. Definitely needs microwave and coffee maker.

Summary: I stayed for a week of quarantine and it was beautiful, scenic and relaxing. It’s a working farm and even though I was on my own there was lots of space a very comfortable environment.
