Summary: The place was great - and given that Catherine had stayed there herself due to the flooding and cyclone, she had done a great job of getting it ready for us, when she could have just as easily cancelled the booking. Catherine is so accommodating and the creek was fantastic. Okay, so not the Ritz, but if that is what you want - go there. This is a adequate little shed-house in the rainforest - so you get everything that goes with that. The dogs also loved it.

Summary: Landlady Catherine had set flowers on the table a nice thought and popped in a few times to check we were all okay. A little hidden gem basic accomodation but nice close enough to Karanda and far enough away for peace and quiet. Would make the best yoga retreat on the lawn by the river and an idyllic place for those wanting tranquility and back to nature. Well worth a stay.

Summary: What a wonderful property for nature lovers with the loveliest of hosts. Catherine was very helpful and close by but the cottage seems very secluded. The creek, rainforest and neighbourhood is a birdwatchers dream, peaceful and off the main tourist track. Will definitely visit again!

Summary: We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay at Catherine's accommodation. Very much enjoyed the privacy and quietness yet not too far from Kuranda and Cairns. The sound of the running river was nice and having that so close to the accommodation was a treat. We enjoyed sitting there by the river and taking it in, very beautiful. Lots of wildlife. The accommodation is basic but very comfortable, well presented and all that we needed. Comfy beds and nice hot shower. Catherine is super helpful and not too far away if help is needed. Would definitely recommend, especially to anyone that wants to get away from crowds and likes to be surrounded by nature. Thanks so much Catherine, we loved it!

Summary: We loved this so much as a recovery weekend after a big conference week. We slept, swam in the river with turtles, and also managed to stay connected with some work thanks to the WiFi. We cooked our meals and recharged.

Summary: What an awesome stay. Catherine (owner) had a bonfire ready for when we arrived. We got to see a baby cassowary, pademelons and turtles. It was exactly what we needed. Totally relaxing and Catherine was the perfect host.
