Positive: Great location, activities, kayaking and wonderful staff. And the hotel puppy, we nicknamed her Princesses McScruffy is just as sweet as can be.
Negative: The 3 dinners we had were just okay. Especially for the price. But the staff was wonderful.
Summary: This is a great location with fun activities, scuba, paddle boarding, kayaking and do the quad tour of the island if you

Positive: It’s the perfect balance between nature and comfort. It is positioned alongside one of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen and the huts are hidden among trees- making you feel like you’re staying in a tropical forest. The resort offers lots of services. The food is high quality and the staff are very attentive. The pictures online don’t do justice to the place. It’s more than a resort, it’s a unique vibe.
Summary: Feels like heaven on earth

Positive: The staff is their quality. They always have a smile and are there for you in case of need. Having the road conditions, being 5 minutes from the airport is amazing. The meals during dinner was also fantastic
Negative: The Villa Charmante is not a good option for a family with a little one of 3. It is a 4star hotel but at least there should be a kettle to boil water. No wifi in the rooms, only in the lounge.
Summary: The staff and their smile is what will make me us come back.

Positive: This was my favorite stay in Madagascar. The immaculate grounds, the spacious villas, the bar and restaurant, the spa, good wifi in the reception and lounge, and above all, the staff! The attention to detail at this property is amazing and the staff and management are always willing to go above and beyond to make sure their guests are completely satisfied. I stayed on half board and both breakfasts and dinners were delicious. I really wish I could have stayed a few extra days. Highly recommend and would love to visit again.
Negative: Nothing. Everything was just perfect.
Summary: Favorite stay in Madagascar

Positive: I have been to some 140 countries around the world and stayed in a wide range of accommodation, from ultra luxury to relatively basic. With all this experience, I hardly ever write reviews. However, this time I have reflected on my stay and decided to put something together, which is both comprehensive and meaningful. I stayed at the Princess Bora Lodge for a Christmas getaway. My villa was satisfactory with decent amenities like the shower. However, there was no air conditioning, which made sleeping somewhat unpleasant in the tropical heat - at times it felt a bit like I was camping in the jungle! On the positive side, the owner gave me a personal tour of the resort along with the manager. We had a nice chat and they showed me their extensive wine collection in the cellar which was an impressive extra touch. The grounds are very picturesque with a long pier and chill-out deck overlooking the sea at the end - a great spot for sunsets. This area doubles as a cocktail lounge on selected evenings. The pool runs parallel to the ocean and is a highlight, as is the beach itself. I ate at the on-site restaurant but there were no English menus available. My waiter had to translate from French, which was a bit inconvenient. Also, there is no WiFi in the common areas like the bar or villas. Instead, you have to use an intermittent and slow wifi in the library, which is ridiculous in today's age. In the end, it cost me around 180 euros per night including breakfast, dinner and a few drinks. This is OK I guess yet quite overpriced given the location, amenities and service issues. For reference, that's around two months salary for and average worker in Madagascar! Overall, while picturesque, the lack of air conditioning, no English menus, extremely poor WiFi access, and steep rates prevent this from being a satisfactory luxury resort for international travelers.
Negative: As mentioned above - no air con, limited WiFi signal, some attitude towards non French speaking guests.
Summary: A beautifully located resort, which needs some rethinking and updating
