Positive: breakfast was lovely. room appearance was lovely. the staff were absolutely lovely and helpful. Really kind and helpful.

Negative: I am afraid the beds are too hard and the place was noise due to other guests and this was not the faulty of the hotel. I would recommend sorting out the floor boards as they are seriously noisy!!

Positive: The building is a stunning restructured 100yr+ house in beautiful grounds. The food quality is excellent, the staff are friendly and helpful. Getting to and from the main areas of Bangkok via boat couldn’t have been easier and was a lot of fun. Once over the river many attractions were walking distance.

Positive: Excellent breakfast, cozy/charming little hotel. Friendly staff, especially reception. Menu in main restaurant was a real threat of authentic Thai dishes, but super pricy: THB 3,500 for one, inclusive of 2 glasses of wine.

Negative: Bathrooms definitely need renovation; also fitting a phone in each room would help. Laundry was slow. Accessibility by boat ONLY is a concern. Staff actively soliciting guests to write reviews mentioning their name during breakfast is not everybody's cup of tea; certainly not mine. Close proximity to the river I suspect causes persistent drainage problems for this property, even in dry season: Staff was very busy with sand bags, clearing of water, etc.

Positive: Peem was amazing and so very helpful. Joe is an exceptional teacher and chief!This is a beautiful refuge for rest and relaxation as you make your way around Bangkok.

Negative: I made a mistake with my dates and Booking would not refund. I realized this within 24 hours of booking. Seems like this could have been honored. People make mistakes, you know.

Positive: Beautiful property , can only get to property via there own private boat which was fantastic but if you arrive via taxi on hotel side have to walk down alleys .

Negative: No shower facilities , no iron in room, bar at pool was a bit of a let down, could be better as nothing was set out drinks wise just stacked boxes . And had to wait for a while before a member of staff served us drinks .

Positive: The hotel was a bit of a hassle to get to. It also seemed eerily empty. There was no phone in the room or room service which was a bummer. The cleaning person didn’t check in on the 2nd night so we ran out of TP and water. If you want to enjoy the hotel, I’d say stay one night max. I wouldn’t go back to stay there again.

Positive: The staff were impeccable. The food was outstanding, and the cocktails at happy hour(s) were first rate. The grounds are lovely, and the private boat to take you across the river was great. We had an early departure, so they packed us breakfast to take with us, which was really sweet.

Negative: The beds are hard. Rock hard. There should be CLEAR information on how to get to the hotel. There is NO road access. Go to Pier 13, call the hotel (it's directly opposite the pier), and they will send the boat over to collect you.

Summary: No road access. Very peaceful location
