Negative: The place is very simple and it’s price doesn’t match with what they offer. The access to the hotel needs a bugre because it’s far from the city center.

Positive: The Eco Resort O Forte at Mangue Seco, Bahia, is a jewel right inside the mangrove environment. It is in a beautiful isolated location where you can appreciate the large changes of the tides from your chaise-long by the pool. The fauna around the resort is abundant and many different birds are all around. The isolation helps the guests to feel in synchronicity with nature. The hotel is not sophisticated but it attends all needs with a friendly and attentive staff and the owner on hand to help most of the time. The restaurant is a very positive surprise with very good and varied dishes on offer all day and till late night. The boat excursion is fantastic and we got to visit isolated sand islands in the middle of the junction between sea and river. I do recommend Pousada Eco Resort O Forte for those in search of preserved nature environments and comfortable accommodations.

Negative: The double bed on the room is small, not very accommodative for big fellows ! Larger beds can help for a better rest. Otherwise all was really good and the silence at night, only with nature sounds is really priceless.

Positive: Everything was just perfect. The location is dreamlike, the staff was great and the rooms were clean. The food was really good and not so expensive. Communication and transfer were easy. This is a little paradise were you can totally calm down.
