Positive: Historical property set in the country side. The property is spread out with plenty of Elbow room...The Staff are Top! My room was large including a blacony and had everything I needed for an excellent adventure. I enjoyed dinner here as well as snacks and the Gin from the region is excellent. Plenty of things here to keep you entertained...

Negative: I would like to see the Pestana Group reinvest in the decor and furnishings...Everything from Linens, Furniture and Mattress is showing it's age...The Property should be Old, not the other way around...

Positive: The staff was amazing and very welcoming, helping with the bags and getting us settled in our rooms and explaining how everything worked. Dinner here was excellent as was the buffet breakfast the next day.

Positive: The hotel is well maintained, including interior and exterior, parking and lighting. We liked the size of the room, the bathroom with everything we needed. Breakfast was varied and nutritious.

Negative: Dinner at the hotel restaurant was a bad decision - the reviews are really true. I ordered octopus and my wife ordered something meaty - it was absolutely not tasty and, moreover, not worth the money. It might be better to find a restaurant nearby for dinner. TV without Netflix.
