Summary: We stayed one night at Pousada Forte de Horta and absolutely loved it. The hotel is full of character with a unique historical charm — you really feel like you’re stepping into a piece of Azorean history. The location is unbeatable, right inside a fortress overlooking the marina, with a breathtaking view of Pico Island across the water. The room was comfortable, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere peaceful. Wish we had more time here!

Summary: The hotel is in the old Fortress in Horta. It's in a great location and the rooms are very comfortable. The breakfast was great with some real flavour and local specialities on offer. Dinner was good but the service was a little slow. I would stay again!

Summary: The hotel is a converted nicely Preserved Old historic building/fort, centrally located, on the main tourist street, and on the water next to the marina. Beautiful direct views of Mount Pico on Pico island. Excellent staff. Nice swimming pool. Rooms with nice balconies.
