Positive: Posada La Torre de La Quintana was steps off the Camino del Norte and provided lodging that was welcoming and homey at the conclusion of a long hike day. The room was part old, with rustic beams and stone walls, and part new, with a spacious bathroom (including a double sized walk-in shower) and modern fixtures. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at a popular restaurant in the village plaza located just around the corner. Though there were few services in the immediate area, we had everything we needed to refuel and rest. The grounds and ambiance were lovely and we hated to leave! In fact, the hostess said we could check out later since it was sprinkling outside on the morning of our departure, but we decided to push on. Would definitely include a stop here on any Camino journey!

Positive: Quirky had an interesting history. Quiet if that’s what you were looking for. Safe parking. Staff friendly and helpful. Easy ride to laredo a coastal town. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. Close to a lovely cafe which was used by local community

Negative: Lighting in the room was poor really.

Summary: Very pleasant restful 2 days. Staff excellent. Local area peaceful. Would use it again
