Positive: Spacious spotless rooms with ample seating cupboards table, mirrors, a/c,and bathroom.Amazing view of harbour of Longboats, fishermen and their families. Backdrop of hills and woodland. Top floor viewing area, fabulous panoramic views sea, islands and shoreline.Very friendly helpful welcome which continued throughout our stay. Very convenient for visiting many facilities of this beautiful island. Scooter hire and laundry reasonable rates

Positive: The room and the bed were comfortable. The sound of the waves was soothing. The terrace was nice to sit on! Even if the shower was not separated in any way from the toilet, it would dry fairly fast! Breakfast was good! We had dinner there one of the nights and it was delicious! Staying in the fishing village at Shampoo’s place was special. It gives a sense of local that is hard to find elsewhere.

Positive: Not too far from the old town and owner organised a lift. Place is in a residential area. Kids playing, women chatting and men fishing. Waves crashing so slept well!

Negative: Nothing really but would have liked to know what meals were available in the evening

Positive: This is one of those rare places where you can see and experience a bit of local culture while having the comforts of a western style hotel room. Rooms are incredibly clean and comfortable. The owner and her family are truly so genuine and kind. They offer many services to help you like laundry, motorbike rental, and arranging transport off the island. We loved the common areas, especially the rooftop which is covered and can be used any time of the day. Expect to hear local fishermen starting their boats in the morning, part of the charm of staying in a Fisherman’s village!

Negative: The breakfast was prepared with such love and care, but it was a bit too sweet for me.

Positive: Got lucky with a stunning spot right by the water! The view of local fishing boats and peaceful location was perfect - just a short ride from the old town by car or scooter. Managed to book last-minute and received a warm welcome from the host's father. The room was well-equipped with everything needed, and they were initially accommodating when I requested a specific late check-out time, which they agreed to.

Negative: However, despite confirming a later check-out and me being quite ill that day, communication broke down. Even though I'd informed them about being sick (barely able to keep anything down) and had agreed on a specific pickup time, I was disturbed twice before the arranged time - once for a non-existent taxi and again about cleaning the room. Given they'd approved the late check-out, this was particularly frustrating when all I needed was to rest quietly until my confirmed departure time.

Positive: The breakfast was simple, but good. The tastiest food was, when I had a sore throat. The older lady (I assume the mother of the owner) prepared a soup just for me without expecting anything back. I don't know the name of that soup (something local), but it was really delicious and helped me to get over my illness. Later she brought me also tea with honey and throat tablets, which was very cute and helpful.
