We provide all the tools and toys to make your stay as relaxing as possible while Mother Nature provides the backdrop.Surrounded by mature hardwood trees on the shores of Sheep Island, Pomquet Beach Cottages will offer visitors a tranquil retreat in tasteful and well appointed Canada Select Four Star rated cottages. Our Cottages reflect the quality of the lodging, the little extras including friendly proprietor-led bilingual service, the ample choices of activities nearby and board games and books for those seldom rainy days.
Located near the gates of the Pomquet Beach Provincial Park, and just 20 minutes from Antigonish visitors will be treated to a three-mile sandy beach, perfect for that sunny afternoon. Relax on the life-guarded beach, take a walk or jog in the fresh salt air or enjoy the interpretive board-walk describing this, the best example of dune succession in Nova Scotia.

Summary: We really enjoyed stay and having the cottage as a base camp while dropping our daughter off at St. FX university. Lots to do at the cottage including free access to kayaks and canoes as well as being really close to a lovely provincial park beach for swimming. Thanks! Mike, Gwen and Isla

Summary: We were very happy with our stay. The owners were very welcoming and tolerant of our enthusiastic dog! The property has access to water for canoe / kayak adventures and is very close to an excellent beach. The cottage was very clean and well kept.

Summary: This is a great little spot. Rochelle and Robert were so friendly and accommodating, and the reviewers are right when they say these cabins have everything you need - right down to a pizza cutter! We rented 2 cabins - one for my mom/stepdad and one for myself, spouse, 2 children, and granddaughter. The kids loved the on-site kayaks and the beach was just a short drive down the road. We didn't swim because there were so many jellyfish that day, but it's a beautiful area. The mosquitos are heavy & aggressive, so definitely bring bug spray. Beds were comfortable, grounds are very well-kept, there's a wooded play area and swingset for the younger kids, and the cabins are more spacious than they look in the photos. Our experience couldn't have been better!

Summary: Rochelle and her husband were amazing hosts...always accessible and accomodating. My 2 teens enjoyed kayaking, playing basketball at the designated play area and roasting marshmallows at the campfire. Listing is 100% accurate. Clothing and food is all you need to bring! Highly recommend!

Summary: Very clean accomodations, we were delighted with the cottage. A short drive to a beautiful and private NS Provincial Park beach run by the province of Nova Scotia (ie - maintained + lifeguard). Beach is part sand/part small rounded rocks. No swimming on the cottage property. It may have just been the week we were there but the mosquitoes around the actual cottage were bad, bring your bug spray. (There were no mosquitoes at the public beach. ) Loved having enough bath towels for a family of 4. Would have loved to give a 5-rating if the kitchen linens, kitchen utensils and first aid kit had been newer. Also can't give a 5 due to the mosquitoes but that is not reflective of the property management. Perhaps some complimentary bug deterrent? Great stay overall.
