Positive: Staff were really helpful and attentive. Food served was great, both breakfasts and evening meals. Stunning location for views, and dark skies. A small beach is 1 minute from the front door.

Positive: On to a winner right away as a dog friendly hotel!! We stayed for 3 nights. Location - over looking the sea; 15 min drive from ferry terminal; 10 min drive over to lovely Eriskay; co-op also a close drive away. Food - varied menu for all meals; very tasty and good portion sizes. Room - all rooms have a sea view. I stayed in a single room with en suite, perfectly comfortable. Connectivity - free wifi access; tv in room. No probs with signal fortunately as CalMac changed the ferry times due to weather and sent text/email notifications about this. Staff and management - all very friendly, helpful, and keen to make sure island life treats you well!

Positive: The Polochar Inn is a great place to stay with fabulous views across the sound to Barra. All the staff, without exception are friendly and helpful. They really go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The bar and restaurant are very welcoming and the food is perfect. Breakfast offers a big choice and I recommend the Eggs Benedict.
