Positive: Everything. The cottage is beautifully decorated and like a home from home. Warm, safe and located in a lovely village with a long road you can take jogs or just walk up and down and take in the country views. It is located next to a pub but it is quiet and if your a drinker or like eating out.. the menu looks great. The nearest shop is a 15 min drive at most.. so convenient to get your day to day items. There is a beautiful wood burner and a great easy chair and comfortable sofa to relax in. It has been decorated through out to a high standard. The patio garden is private and when the sun comes out there are a few good sun spots to find where you can just sit and relax. The shower works just fine plenty of hot water. The owners are delightful and kind and I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. . The kitchen is well equipped and there is plenty of everything that you need..a home away from home.

Positive: The log fire was lovely and the village was in the middle of nowhere which was heaven.

Negative: Wasn't very tidy and the bathroom needed a good scrub,the shower head needs replacing maybe have a bigger shower head as the water pressure so low you had to hug the wall for the water to hit you. The cottage wasnt very clean it was almost as if they had forgotten someone was staying there over christmas. All in all i would recommend the cottage be closed for a couple of weeks for a proper spruce up, decorating throughout and the second bedroom was pretty dirty on the walls. The bulb in the lamp was hanging on for dear life didn't notice until having used it for 4 days..health n safety non existant.

Negative: We had a problem with the log burner, but our host was very responsive to our call for help.

Summary: Very cosy and warm with everything we needed for our stay.

Positive: Location was great. Very warm and comfortable. Well equipped. Fabulous pub next door serving great food. They also had a field available to walk the dog. Lovely quiet village and everyone was so friendly. The cottage was great for two of us and the dog. Secure back yard. Great idea leaving the key each day in the key safe so we didn’t have to worry about losing it! Bed was comfy and shower was adequate. Oven was good getting to temp quickly and cooked evenly. Home from home.

Positive: Spotlessly clean, nicely arranged and decorated, pleasant surroundings! We made ourselves thoroughly at home very quickly, and that includes the dog! Particularly liked the numerous shelves, nooks & crannies which seemed very well thought out & convenient.

Negative: Provision of some kind of shade in the courtyard would be welcome- perhaps a parasol/umbrella? The rather sharp latch fitting on the bedroom door took us unawares until we learnt to avoid it!

Summary: Most pleasant…we’ll be back!
