Perched in the mountains just above Main Street Julian, you will find your new favorite vacation destination…Polaris Ridge!
Our fully renovated home has four bedrooms, and three bathrooms and sleeps up to twelve people. There are three rooms with king beds, one room with two queens, and a queen-sized sleeper sofa in living room 2.
From amazing sunsets on the front porch to the North Star above the jacuzzi at night, Polaris Ridge is the perfect place to gather with your family and friends.
The space
The property is on a private dirt road overlooking Main Street in Julian. To access the house, you can park at the top of the driveway and walk down or drive down it. Note: The driveway has a significant incline. It is recommended to use AWD /4WD vehicles when using the driveway.
The main floor, located on the second level, has vaulted ceilings and is complete with a large sectional couch in the living room, dining room, two bedrooms, and a bathroom. The dining table has seating for eight guests, and there is room at the kitchen island.
The newly renovated kitchen has modern amenities, including a dishwasher, microwave, induction stove, electric oven, coffee pot, toaster, blender, and mixer. There is also a full complement of dishes, utensils, pots, and pans to cook and serve your meals. We provide basic spices and starter tea and coffee—plus a few extras! Acrylic drinking glasses have been provided for use by the pool and jacuzzi.
A roomy primary suite on the third floor is complete with a king-size bed.
The lower level has one more private bedroom with two queen-size beds, a bathroom, a den with a desk for working and a queen-size pullout couch, as well as a sunroom with games.
It's super private and quiet.
Guest access
Polaris Ridge house is a single family, 3-story home and is only occupied
by you and your registered guests. Reservations for up to 12 guests.
We have contactless check-in using a coded keypad.
The areas of 'owner access only' are the garage, one closet on the first floor, one closet on the third floor and the pump house that can be seen coming down the driveway.

Summary: Beautiful home with excellent scenery while sitting on the front porch or out at the pool and Jacuzzi area. One of the few times that I did not really need to bring anything as the house was stocked with everything we needed. Two of the nights we cooked dinner there with the last night, eating the leftovers from the first two nights that we prepared food in the spacious and well stocked kitchen. We made a pizza run our first night any an excellent wood fired pizza place just a couple miles down the road. Our kids and grandkids enjoyed the swimming pool and Jacuzzi. My wife and I enjoyed sitting out there in the shade with an excellent view of the surrounding mountains and trees. The short trip into town to watch the 4th of July parade was easy as well as checking out the local wineries, antique shops, craft cider and beer places were additional highlights of our stay. The description of the place identified a very steep driveway that a four-wheel-drive was recommended. We did not have and take a four-wheel-drive and did not have a problem going down or getting back up the steep driveway. And the early 3 PM check in time and especially the later, 11 AM, check out time Allowed for us to enjoy our last morning there before packing up and getting ready to leave. Those extra two hours from normal check in and check out times were a big plus for us. Our family is extremely happy with this year‘s choice and hopefully we’ll be able to do it again.

Summary: This was a great property to stay for a vacation, clean, house looked like the pictures, great kitchen. Comfortable beds. The only thing couple issues with pool but were resolved by host quickly. One thing just would had like to see the driveway to house on pictures as it was very steep and my sister car got stuck. Overall close to the Julian downtown and very convenient.

Summary: The property is beautiful, unique and spacious. It would be a perfect getaway for families with teen or adult children. There is a pool room with tons of games, plenty of rooms for privacy, a pool and jacuzzi. Pay close attention to the warning for the driveway even if you have an SUV. It is very steep and it is best to park up top and walk down. The only slightly disappointing thing was that the automatic pool cleaner seemed to be clogged and the pool was full of leaves, blossoms and what kind of looked like pollen. Not terribly upsetting because it was early in the season and probably too cold to go swimming. Overall it is a beautiful and well maintained property with super responsive owners, great amenities and an incredible view. I almost want to gatekeep this amazing property and not recommend but I highly recommend! We will be back.

Summary: We were so comfy that we didn’t want to leave. Great space for families and oh so close to Julian 7 min drive or a nice 25 min walk. Great beds and linen (big plus). Well stocked kitchen and the home felt welcoming. Our hosts was very kind and easy to reach out to. Provided additional house info and that was appreciated.
