Positive: We had a great stay at Playa Lechi Oceanfront on Bonaire. The apartment, located on the first floor, was clean, very well equipped, and the kitchen had everything we could possibly need. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning in the bedrooms worked well. The spacious screened terrace was a real highlight, allowing us to enjoy the beautiful ocean views even in the evenings without worrying too much about mosquitoes. Ceiling fans kept the space comfortable at all times. Guests also have access to the pool on the ground-floor terrace. From the property, a gate leads directly to the waterfront promenade. While there is no sandy beach, access to the water is possible via a ladder and it's a nice spot for first snorkeling trials right from the property. There was enough parking behind the house, and the gated property made us feel secure. Communication with the owner was excellent before and during our stay. We would happily stay here again.

Positive: The property owner was extremely easy to communicate with and made sure we had all the details we needed ahead of time. Since we were arriving late, he even asked if we needed anything in the fridge and kindly provided eggs, which was a thoughtful touch. He even made sure we had the keys hand delivered to us when we arrived. The house itself was beautiful—very clean and equipped with everything we needed and more. The views were absolutely breathtaking and spent time every morning on the balcony enjoying the views and enjoying a cup of coffee. Then watching the sunset in the evening. The location was perfect: within walking distance to restaurants, the water, and multiple diving sites. The property was quiet, filled with tropical birds, beautiful flowering plants, and located in a gated community, which made us feel very safe as two women traveling alone. We also appreciated having our own bedrooms and bathrooms. Being on the second story wasn’t an issue at all, as there is both an elevator and stairs (great for a bit of exercise). There is a nice parking lot with turn around so we had a spot to park our rental vehicle, which was also nice. The pool was great and well maintained - we enjoyed swimming at night after dinner and our walk on the Boulevard.
Negative: If anything, everything required a key, and the gate remote took a little time to get used to. However, this clearly contributed to the overall security of the property, so it was well worth the minor inconvenience of carrying keys.
Summary: A beautiful, clean & well-located property with stunning peaceful views, excellent communication.
