A historical lakefront Ontario resort and marina conveniently located on the south shore of Rice Lake. We offer several rental cottages in the Village of Gore's Landing. These Ontario rental cottages are just 15 minutes from Cobourg and Port Hope, only 30 minutes from Peterborough, and only 90 minutes east of Toronto. There are many amenities nearby.
We offer an affordable cottage rental destination for family vacations, fisherman's getaways or enjoyment of the abundant wildlife. Several of our rental cottages are over the water and none are more than 150 feet from the waterline.
Each cottage has a well-equipped kitchen including a refrigerator, electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee maker and all the pots, pans and dishes you should need. We also have electric heating and full-sized gas barbeques (propane included) for each cottage and individual fire-pits.
For those of you who like to keep in touch, we have high-speed internet access with a terminal in the reception area. Most cottages have TV's and DVD's with an extensive movie rental collection in the office.

Summary: Amazing owners and family. So kind and so open. The view from any cabin is amazing. The only complaint we had was no hot water to shower and a small chipmunk 🐿 problem. Other than that clean and wonderful place.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay at Plank Road cottages. The place was clean, owners friendly. Check in and check out seamless. If you don't mind being in such close proximity to 10 other cottages and a marina, it is a nice weekend or week's stay. The general area at Gore's Landing is very busy with people visiting the public pier right next to this resort. The place was full and marina busy. Maybe because it was Labour Day weekend but we were just a bit uncomfortable with the volume of people in such close proximity. It felt like there wasn't much privacy. The beach is just a small maybe 20 ft x 20 ft area between cottage 3 & 4 but our 3 year old enjoyed playing in the sand and water there and guests were friendly, one bringing her an inflatable to play in the water. Owner Carla brought her a life jacket to use. All in all, a friendly clean place to stay. Just don't forget to being your own pillows!

Summary: If u r looking for a fun weekend where u can get a cozy cottage with big window facing the east which gives u beautiful sunshine in the morning, canoeing to far away in the lake, bbq in the evening and sitting around the bon fire at the lake shore to pass the time past mid night... then this the place to be. Carla is an awesome host who is always ready to help u with the best she can. Thank u for such a wonderful experience.

Summary: This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.
