Positive: We had seven wonderful nights at Pirgali Stone House, and it truly exceeded all our expectations. It's clear from the very first moment that Kosta and Joanna have a real passion for what they do . This is not just another Airbnb you book online but a place full of soul, care and greek idyll. The house itself looks like it has jumped out of a romantic storybook, surrounded by plants, trees, and thoughtful details everywhere. The family's touch has shaped the atmosphere - from the comfortable beds to the perfectly equipped kitchen. On arrival, we were greeted with local drinks made from fruits of Kos, fresh fruit, cake, coffee and tea - and later Kosta even brought us wine. These gestures made us feel so welcome and showed how much they value their guests. The location is absolutely perfect: within walking distance of Kos town, but far enough away to enjoy peace, quiet, and the feeling of living among locals. The neighbours are kind, and the whole area feels safe and welcoming. Surrounded by pomegranate, fig and olive trees, and waking up to the scent of mint in the garden, we truly felt immersed in the richness of nature here. Some of our favorite memories are the evenings spent in the garden, sitting under the trees, enjoying drinks and just soaking up the atmosphere. I know for sure this won't be my(our) last time in Kos - and when I return, it will definitely be to Pirgali Stone House.
Negative: Honestly, there was nothing we truly disliked.

Positive: Peaceful, cozy, clean and inviting — a gem of a find on Kos island. Kostas is a gracious host who with his wife Joanna maintains a beautiful, clean and thoughtfully decorated place, expressing a genuine desire to ensure a pleasant time on the island. Everything you may need for a restful stay — well-appointed kitchen, notably comfortable bed, screened windows letting in the gentle breeze day and night, space to enjoy the serene garden outside. Privacy yet close to amenities and social activities steps up the road at the family hotel, and a short and pleasant walk down the road to the hustle and bustle of Kos Town, shops, cafes and restaurants. Can highly recommend a stay at this charming and unique stone house in Kos, and experiencing the Greek hospitality of Kostas and family!
Summary: Greek hospitality and a delightful stay in Kos.

Positive: The location is excellent, a short 10 minute walk to the center of Kos Town, but far enough out to be quiet at night. The garden had a great view of the sunset in the evening and shade in the morning, and it was pleasant to sit outside. There was parking for a rental car directly across the street. Kosta met me to show me the house and features, and stocked the fridge with excellent local drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic). You can use the pool and bar facilities at the Family Apartments down the road. I had a fantastic stay, I really appreciated being outside of the tourist area but close enough to be able to walk to the town and beaches.

Positive: We can't recommend this property enough -- walking through the front door, you take a step back in time... But with all the comforts and amenities of the 21st century! Kosta was incredibly warm and welcoming, explaining the history of the house and the traditional way of life it recalled, leaving us a bunch of local products to start our stay, and giving us the *best* recommendations for local restaurants and places to visit. This place (and Kosta's advice about what to eat!) made for a wonderful stay in Kos... And we already can't wait to come back!
Summary: An amazing place to stay -- very clean, very comfortable, and with the most welcoming host!

Positive: This house is absolutely amazing! It’s just a bit above the city, so you’re perfectly secluded from the noise and crowds, enjoying a peaceful retreat. The garden is gorgeous, and we loved spending our time around the big table out there. Plus, there’s a market just a few minutes away with everything you might need, and the staff there are super friendly. And here’s the cherry on top: the house is surrounded by incredible historical sites from Roman and ancient times. You’ll be in close proximity to places like the Odeon, the Aqueduct, Casa Romana, and the ruins of the ancient city of Nymphaion, dedicated to the Nymphs. It’s like stepping into a history book right from your doorstep! The house has air conditioning, which kept things cool, and there’s a lovely breeze on Kos, so it’s nice to just keep the windows open. We also had access to a fantastic pool with a bar at a hotel nearby—just a short walk away. Getting to Lambi Beach was easy too; we went by car, bike, or even walked. Kostas, the host, is wonderful! He met us at the bus station, drove us to the house, and made sure we had everything we needed. He’s full of helpful tips and genuinely cares about making your stay great. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you’d need, and there’s a TV with Netflix and fast Wi-Fi. The beds are super comfy, and the whole place is so quiet—it’s perfect for a good night’s sleep. Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Everything about this house is top-notch!
