Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Annual family reunion. We’ve stayed at Pirates Beach and Pirates Cove for past 7 years. The houses work great for our large families. However, for the price we pay, the upkeep, cleanliness and stocked items in the kitchen could certainly be better.

Summary: Our family stayed here for a last minute vacation. Property was clean, plenty of room for everyone, & all the amenities. We loved the double refrigerators, the ground level bathroom & shower for easy clean up after a day out on the beach. The house is located close to The Big Store & all the restaurants located on Crystal Beach. We hope to stay here every year for our family vacation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was okay. The bunk beds are dangerous- No railings , my mother broke a rib , right clavicle , and 2 vertebrae’s. The sheets and towels are all left in a group next to the front door. Would have been a 5 star experience if the beds were made or even if they were, I don’t know, on the beds ??? Near the beds maybe. There’s a lot of rules prior to leaving. You pay hundreds of dollars for cleaning services when you’re the one who has to clean. Not to mention you pay $4,000 to stay there. The management company is very communicative and helpful. Very helpful. Not a lot of utensils/equipment you need for a full kitchen (cooking purposes) There was old wedding paraphernalia left behind. There were nails in the hand railing used for flowers (from other event ) that gashed open grandpas hand.

Reviewer Comments: -tv on level one lounge on wrong wall since unable to swivel -Master bedroom window panes backwards/whole situation dangerous and could possibly lead to a litigation situation - no hand soap or bar soap in bathrooms-lounge furniture on level one unfit to sit on and dangerous- garbage disposal broke upon checkin-toilet on level two ran constantly -toilet on ground level full of human waste and overflowing upon arrival-vent in master bedroom overflowing with dust - cabinet in master so high occupant unable to reach and retrieve linens/towels -kitchen top of line -lack of trash bags ridiculous and hidden in locked closet and not on list of things to bring-couch on level two comfortable and tv location good -no where to hang clothes in ANY room and one small closet needs warning to watch step due to customer falling down two stairs -bunk bedrooms need hooks everywhere to provide a place to hang clothes and/or towels -some bunk beds provided plugs for computers, IPads, blue tooth setups, CPAP equipment. However, socket location dangerous and uncomfortable to patron utilizing fixture.-stairway needs railings for easier access. Actual stairs are too steep and do not accommodate an adult footing. Dangerous for anyone elderly in need of railing. wood so large there was nothing to grab hold of without encountering splinters. ADA compatibility compliance or OSHA approval questionable.-level one decking and wooden furniture excellent-housekeeping list inside lounge closet found when vacation ended, could have resolved most all of my concerns and regrets of location.-lounge furniture on level one inappropriate and dangerousAll in all, we enjoyed our vacation on Crystal Beach but it could have been so much better without septic tank problems, bedroom windows not exposing occupants of mas

Nice, big kitchen with two fridge/freezers which was awesome! No family dining table so having dinner as a group presented challenges. The beach location is excellent as is the management company. The ground level could use an outdoor shower as there was not a great place to wash sand off before entering the house. I will say this house needs a deep clean. The bathrooms and kitchen areas were well cleaned, but the walls had dirt and smudges of grime on them throughout the entire house and the floors had not been properly cleaned in some time.

The house set up was perfect for our group and everyone enjoyed the setting. 35 total grown men for 3 days and nights. We brought in a chef to prepare the meals and shuttles to run us back and forth to the marina. It was a fantastic venue for our group and we are very likely to come back again. My only wish is that the bed linens were put on the bed prior to our stay. It takes a while to make that many beds in both houses. We would likely pay a fee to have those put on for us.

Summary: The shocking part of this episode is that the sheets were not included in the price, would not have made a difference, would have rented anyhow, however, it was deceptive and secondly the beds and sheets were not on the bed. I use luxury retreats around the world and you could learn from their service. Will never rent this place or anything else from you.
