Positive: A great hostel close to both Wamena centre & the airport. The owners & staff are first rate, nothing was too much trouble. They have also set up some nice spaces for guests to hang out in. All around, excellent, when adding in the breakfast, coffee & food menu! Highly recommended!

Positive: This is an exceptional hostel. The breakfast is great and the coffee that Niky roasts himself is phenomenal. Niky also has a wealth of information about the region and its dynamics, can help connect you with a great guide for any adventures (day trips or multi day excursions) and is just one of the most interesting and helpful people I’ve met.

Positive: There aren’t enough words to say how wonderful this place is. As soon as I arrived, I was treated like family, and that feeling continued throughout my stay here. In the morning, they made a special breakfast just for me according to my preferences. The coffee was incredible, of course, and made the whole experience over-the-top amazing. There is no place else like it in Wamena, in Papua, or maybe even in the world! Highly recommend this to everyone.

Positive: Moly and Sonya were amazing hosts. I immediately felt at home. They helped me organize guides upon arrival. The hostel is super clean, breakfast was superb and the kitchen facilities were great! They really really take care of their guests and will do everything to make you feel comfortable! They also offered great tips for sights/treks/etc and can get a guide to meet you in the hostel quickly (even during the Bailem festival- busiest week of the year). I really felt like part of the family and would come back to Wamena just to visit them! Thank you for everything!!

Negative: Bring earplugs, it’s a bit loud (but that’s Wamena, not the hostel)

Positive: Pintu biru hostel is a great place to stay in Wamena. The owners are amazing and has a small coffee rostery so you can enjoy quality coffe when you stay where. The owners have very good contact for professional and not overpriced guides in Wamena and Dani tribes. They also have a scooter to rent if you need it. The owner even took me with his car to the airport after my stay. Loved this place and I could definitely recommend it if you are looking for affordable and clean place to stay in Wamena.

Positive: Very good, clean and well situated hostel. Owners are super friendly and speak good english. Rooms and the rest are clean, beds comfortable. Washing mashine is helpful to use after long treking in the mountains. The owners are indonesian couple. We have wath the movie at the evening and in another we had a nice talk about local culture and places worth to see. If I will be there again then for sure will stay in the same hostel!
