Positive: It was very good value. The was a small clean swiming pool nice to cool down and a little safe place for children. Outside many restaurants and bars we took a tuc tuc to the night market 600 batt there and back good value. A nice hotel perfect when your out all day and just need to sleep.

Negative: I though by the photos in booking .com it was a lot bigger and the pool was a lot bigger. But it was not bad .

Positive: It’s a place with potential if the details and service would be looked into. The location and the surroundings around the bungalows is nice. The maids were also very nice.

Negative: I had a rocky start at the accommodation, as I couldn’t sleep for the first 2 nights as there was some sort of animal(?) stuck in the roof of my bungalow which made sleeping impossible. I got a replacement bungalow for the other nights, however I can imagine that messed up other people’s bookings. Also, the new place had a kitchenette but it was unusable as there were no utilities, not even a bottle opener. The place lacked shelving, in the bathroom nowhere to hang towels or put your toiletries, just lacking simple things like that which could really improve the stay. Also, in that bungalow I couldn’t change the water temperature. There’s also no breakfast/restaurant area, which would be nice. I felt the owner was sometimes rude and the other staff didn’t really speak English. Overall, they advertise as a 4-star hotel, but it really is 2-stars (on Google also says so) so I feel for the money, it’s not really value for it.

Positive: It was a really cute hotel. It provided a lot of services such as laundry and booking onward travel. It has an onsite cafe for snacks, coffee and drinks. Nice to have a pool. Walkable to the beach.

Negative: It could use some minor maintenance. The door to my room was difficult to engage due to a bent/broken strike pad. The cushions around the pool could use replacing. Having breakfast included would have been nice especially since there was no coffee provided in the room. There also seemed some confusion about my booking. I was put in a bungalow at what I later realized was a different hotel right next to Pinky. The next day an employee from that hotel informed me that I had to move rooms as Pinky’s had asked them to have me there one night. She was under the impression that I had been informed of this. I had not been and had unpacked so had pack back up and move. Also that first night I came back from dinner to find that on the property just behind my unit they were burning dry branches. Several other guests were out watching. When I expressed safety concerns I didn’t feel very good understood. I’m know they have a burning season here but did not expect it in the islands during high season in a heavily inhabited area. I believe it was the owner of the first property to whom I spoke. It was windy and dry so I believe my concern was justified. The rest of the staff also appeared concerned and surprised it was happening. Overall it just made for a bad start to my stay. I would have appreciated being informed that I would have to move after the first night and also given a bit of a break on the bill.

Positive: The gardens were lovely. The massage (next door) was exceptional. The cafe (next door) was good for early breakfast with great staff. The superb restaurant (Thai Smile 2 doors down). After a bumpy start, the manager and staff of Pinky were actually quite nice.

Negative: On check in, even though on Booking.com it says you can pay with a credit card, but the manager will INSIST on CASH ONLY by saying the machine is broken. She allowed us to check in and pay the next day. There is a cash machine nearby with a £6 fee. Poolside pink beds aren't clean. Cold shower, some maintenance needed in the bathroom.

Positive: Such a fun spot to stay, lots of vibrant colours. Nice pool area & good cocktails! WiFi was great, just the in room instructions are old (hence the lower score I guess) just use reception code & it’s perfect.
