Summary: We had a great time. The house had the perfect set up for a family with teenagers who want their own TV room. The closeness to Baker City ( and AJ's Corner Brick restaurant) and Sumpter and Anthony Lakes gave us plenty to do. Gayle was accommodating and gave us lots of good tips for the area. We will definitely be back to this property!

Summary: This is a wonderfully spacious home, tastefully decorated, and in a prime location minutes from Baker. Everything expected from guests is clearly laid out, everything you need is there. It will be my first choice when I am back in the area for a stay. (I was raised in Baker, living there nearly 20 years. I can say that this is a gem of a house and location.)

Summary: The house is a great place to stay, and I would be happy to stay there again! It is very clean and very roomy. I saw another review mention it having an odd layout (I don't remember the wording, exactly), and I personally find that to be part of its charm. The kids found it to be a place to be explored and had lots of fun. My sister wanted to make sure I gave "bonus points" for kid cups and kid plates being available. The dishes are all nice and in good condition. One thing I would do differently (this is not a complaint against the house or the owners, just an FYI for parents of curious tots) is bring a baby gate, or even a pack-and-play to place at the bottom of the stairs, especially the taller staircase. The railing at the top of the stairs is pretty short (about knee height for me, and I am about 5'5") and it felt a little loose when I touched it), but as long as people aren't being rambunctious (or maybe sleepwalking), it shouldn't be a problem. The beds are comfortable, there are plenty of outlets and also places to charge with a USB. The drive to Baker City from the house isn't especially far, and it is a pretty drive. As long as you don't need a place in easy walking distance to town, this is a great option!

Summary: Queen bed all legs of aluminum were bent. They need a new bed! Floors have slopes and thresholds were uneven and 5 of us tripped many times. Door to Master had pocket door that wouldn’t open as it caught on frame. My husband fixed it. Lots of room. Strange layout. Some spiders on pillows in family room. Stove has no markings to show if you were turning it higher or lower. Place was quiet and the kids enjoyed meeting the boys who owned the black Angus and feeding them grass. Lots of room to run around but grass not mowed in back. If bed is fixed we probably would rent it again.

Summary: We were in town for the State Basketball tournament and this was a great place out of town!! Kitchen had everything we needed!! We only ate out at a restaurant, 2 times in the 4 nights we were there!! The bedrooms were nice size and the beds were comfortable!! Warm, clean and quiet!! Would look at booking again for next year!! Thanks Gayle and Randy!!
