Positive: We were looking for accomodation owning farm animals. It was possible to observe sheep in the pasture from the room window. There were many beautiful paintings in the room.
Negative: Owner do not speak latvian at all. Paintings in wc contrasts its mild design (my personal feeling). No life-jacket for the boat they offer in the pond on the other side of the road.

Positive: A beautiful place in Latgale countryside with views towards a beautiful landscape and a lake just nearby. The children liked the animals - sheep, goats, chicken and there was a sweet little dog my daughter loved to play with. The hostess was very kind and welcoming, she even offered us a sauna for no additional cost. The accommodation is simple, but comfortable, the natural setting was a great value for us. I loved the outdoor terrace. It's great that we could cook our own breakfast, the kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. The lake was so calm and beautiful at sunset - Latgale is very beautiful.
Summary: A nice stay in natural surroundings with beautiful views and a lake nearby, we loved the sauna!

Positive: Lovely and colourful spot in a beautiful Latvian countryside with a feeling of a "ranch" - there are goats, chickens, cats, dogs and a lake just opposite that you can sail on with a boat. The host is very friendly and welcoming (Russian speaker, no English) and will prepare breakfast at an extra charge if you ask for it (we had delicious "blini" and fried eggs + sausages - the host asks what you want to eat). The place is full of art (paintings) and rooms are large and colourful - the place has a very unique character. Call the host directly for information about choice of rooms.
Negative: We really didn't experience anything bad, the host is very flexible and tries to help with everything. We don't speak fluent Russian or Latvian but somehow we managed to communicate very well.
Summary: It's a unique "ranch"-like experience in a beautiful setting with a very friendly host.
