Only 30 min from WI Dells. This immaculate remodeled lakefront cottage is ready to enjoy any time of the year. Private pier for your boat to cruise, ski or fish. 2 kayaks are available to use and included in your stay. Buffalo Lake is one of the best fishing lakes in Wisconsin whether it's in the summer or winter while having two bars to visit. It’s a great lake for fishing, kayaking, boat cruising, and tubing. There are lots of aquatic plants so its not a good swimming lake. The cottage is also located on many ATV and snowmobile trails. The property has 50 ft of lake frontage, a sunroom with gorgeous views of the lake, firepit, and more. It's an easy drive from IA, MN or IL. Check out the great winter deals as well!!! Summary: Everyone was very nice and willing to share info they had regarding the area. Watched the Packer game at local sports bar. It was a lot of fun.

Summary: Enjoyed the cabin. It was close to the road, but the road wasn't that busy. The smaller bedroom was a little hard to get around in. I think a trundle bed arrangement would have worked better than the way it was set up. Otherwise we enjoyed our time there and the view of the lake.

Summary: There were some upsides and some downsides of this property. Pros include: decent sleeping space, clean bedding, nice location, had most essentials, and a large firepit. The cons however, had us less than thrilled: despite the large cleaning fee, our feet were black just from walking around in the cabin, there were THOUSANDS of dead bugs in the sun room windows, tiny appliances not advertised in the listing, very few provided kitchen basics, such as aluminum foil, cooking spray, dishwashing cloths or sponges etc. Two kayaks were provided by the owner but we have no idea how we could have gotten into the water as the shore is all large rocks and the dock is very tall (this could be attributed to a dry year). The dock is also very spongy and iffy at best for stability. There was air conditioning, but owner also failed to list that it was portable and not central until we received additional details the day before. We thankfully brought a fan for the sun room, which the air did not reach. Overall, we did enjoy our stay and it served our very basic needs.

Summary: Place was clean and maintained. Really appreciated the updated bathroom. View from the back sun room is perfect. Also really appreciated having the kayaks available. Pier was a little sketchy, boards flexed a lot when we walked out on them. The comforter in the main bedroom has seen better days, had stains a tears, recommend replacing. Check in ad out was very easy and wifi worked well. Nothing to do at all with the host or property but speed limit posted is 25 on the road, and average actual speed of people traveling by was 40-45. So would be concerned if someone with children stayed there with the house so close to the road. Thanks again.

Summary: Although the setting was good, we found a few issues with the kitchen cleanliness-oven and stove very dirty, freezer was in desperate need of de-frosting, the grill was very dirty and some pots weren't clean. Initially, when I sent James pictures he said, and I quote, "that's not acceptable...will do what it takes to make it right". The trouble is, later on he indicated that it wouldn't have taken that much time to clean the kitchen, so apparently it wasn't a big enough issue to warrant "making it right". It surely take more than a few minutes to defrost a refrigerator! We are not so gullible that we believed James' ridiculous statement. PICTURES DO NOT LIE, and if something is unacceptable on one day, how come a couple of days later it isn't? He really back pedaled from his original stand, perhaps when he realized it would cost money to repair this mess. The accomodations were adequate, the setting was pretty, but James' attitude left something to be desired. Of course, he will say he asked what we wanted from him, but when he was talking about how little time it would take to fix the messes, we knew he wasn't going to actually reimburse us adequately. We thought an honest review would be a much more appropriate way of handling this situation.
