Positive: Wonderful old style place with a charming vibe and pretty surroundings. Comfy and clean rooms, lots to explore in the area.

Negative: The breakfast is basic, and the area they serve it is very cold, and since you have to pay separately for the breakfast, you kinda feel that it was not worth the extra. The hosts don’t speak any English, which makes communication and service tricky.

Positive: I enjoed my short stay at Penzion Stary Otec. The owner was so kind and helpful. The place was not far from Banska Stiavnica and from the mountain Sitno.

Positive: It was very clean and the staff were friendly. Very accommodating and helpful even with our limited ability to communicate.

Negative: Breakfast was €9.80 per person for a very basic breakfast. We opted out of this because of the price. Also pub closes early, so if checking in do this before 8pm. But none the less still a good stay.
