Positive: The hut that we were staying in was classed as the 'family hut' and was fine for us travelling as a couple, plus our dog. Everything was very clean and appeared to be in brand new condition.

Negative: When booking the accommodation, it was not immediately apparent until we arrived that the 'family hut' did not include a hot tub, although it was raining during our stay and most likely wouldn't have been used in this instance. Certainly not a fault of Pentland Shephard Huts, more for the awareness of others, if you're looking for the hot tub that this option did not include it. Although given the very affordable cost to stay here, it is understandable. Two very minor points to note - the hot water tank capacity didn't appear to be very big and we ran out of hot water whilst showering on a few occasions, but fine for shorter showers. Also, there was no TV in our hut, so provide your own entertainment.

Summary: Very clean and new, cosy hut. No hut tub or TV but great accommodation overall.

Positive: Myself and my boyfriend came to the Pentland Shepherd Huts to celebrate our anniversary and we had the best time! The hut was extremely clean and comfortable, absolutely perfect for a romantic weekend. It is an amazing location as it didn't take us too long to get into Edinburgh but we also weren't too far from lovely little towns such as Peebles. Lyn was great with communicating and we even got to meet their pygmy goats and shetland ponies, definitely a highlight of the trip! The hot tub was also heated for our arrival which was a great way to settle into our weekend. Would definitely recommend to other couples or friends who want a cosy weekend away!

Positive: Lyn and Simon are lovely hosts - very helpful and friendly. The fire pit was a hit and the Huts were gorgeous. Beautiful surrounds and good shopping just a few minutes drive down the road. Good bus service close by too.

Positive: Everything was brand new and very modern! The hot tub was fantastic, as it was log fired it stayed lovely & hot the whole time we used it. We also had access to the bbq which was great! The couple that own these huts went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and that we had everything we needed. They were so lovely and welcoming! We will definitely be back again!

Negative: The fact that we only stayed one night!
