Positive: The staff were exceptional! We had arrived late after a crash then there was a power cut. They couldn't have been more kind and helpful if they tried. They really made us feel better. The food was great.

Negative: The room was unfortunately a little unclean. We had moved a bed to get something that fell and it was quite dirty behind. The shower head was a dual one for the bath and it was quite poor, not much power and difficult to get the right mix of hot and cold from the taps. There was a dirty teaspoon in beside the kettle and no hand soap at the sink. The place looks a little unloved and could do with a freshen up.

Positive: We stayed here as part of our NC500 route and found it to be a great stopover. The location is convenient, though our first room faced the main road and was a bit noisy. However, the staff were happy to move us to a quieter room at the back with no fuss, which we really appreciated. The bed was comfortable, the blackout curtains were a nice touch, and the room was peaceful for a good night’s sleep. Breakfast was tasty, and we especially enjoyed chatting with the lovely lady who served it. All the staff we encountered were super friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Negative: No car park. Bathrooms need updating and toilet not clean.
