Summary: Nice facility close to train station

Summary: A nice hotel in the centre of town, close to restaurants and with good parking. Sound proofing on the rooms is terrible though so expect to be woken up in the morning by the first person who moves around in the hotel.

Summary: This is an outstanding economical hotel close to the railway station and bus station. Perfect if you are staging for an adventure out in the tundra further afield from Gällivare, or even if you are just staying in town. Great breakfast, lovely breakfast room, very friendly people. The rooms are simple and rather sparsely furnished, but you get a good bed, table and chair, and they are pleasantly decorated. The prices are not much different from an STF hostel (vandrarhem), but the standard is higher. You do have to share a bathroom with others on the floor, but the facilities are ample and clean and I have never found this to be a problem.
