Positive: Nice rooms, the owner is super nice and welcoming. In case the staff is not on-site, you receive self-check in instructions. Good breakfast with local products. You can store the bikes in the garage.
Negative: If you are travelling with bikes, just keep in mind that the building is out of the city center and up the hill.
Summary: Nice family managed bed & breakfast, out of the city center.

Positive: Room was affordable for the area. Access to a fridge and tea/coffee making facilities. Nice walk into Melk town.
Negative: No check in email received. Arrived at the door, attempted to call the phone number but it was so faded we called the wrong number. Male owner then turned up and let us in, but said we would still need to call to find out our room number from his wife because he didn't know. Room was fine and as expected, but incredibly hot. There was fan, but could have done with AC.

Positive: We really enjoyed our stay in Melk. The Marillenhof guesthouse was very cozy, and Mrs. Schreyl was very hospitable. The breakfast was delicious and featured a selection of regional products and specialties, such as homemade jam. If we ever come back to Melk, we’ll definitely stay there again!
Negative: Nothing to complain about.

Positive: We had such a nice stay in Pension Marillenhof when visiting Wachau Valley. Melk is a nice small town with beautiful Abbey. Pension Marillenhof like a home away from home, quite, clean with touching decorations. Hostess is very responsive and caring. I wish we could have stayed longer.
