Positive: The guest house is in a fairly central location in Hamburg on a fairly busy road. We did miss the sign for the place first time and had double back to find it. Parking is round the back down a fairly narrow driveway, in a private and secluded garden. We arrived late at night but had no problems gaining access thanks to the instructions we’d been sent previously. Staff greeted us as we arrived and they were very friendly and helpful – top marks there. The room was quiet, clean and comfy but this is obviously an old house and parts of it could do with renovation. The beds were good with a decent mattress. Be aware that the bathroom was in a different room across the hallway but it was a private bathroom so we had it to ourselves. The bathroom was clean and the shower was good and hot. It’s worth knowing that there is a supermarket directly opposite that has late opening hours. Overall, the room was quite decent for the price.
Negative: There's a shared kitchen in the guest house and we could smell that someone obviously liked their garlic.
Summary: A Decent Stay For The Price

Positive: + The place was clean and fairly quiet. + Nobody disturbed us; we were left to ourselves, which was nice. + The owner was incredibly friendly and left very detailed instructions on how to find the room — it made a really good impression. + Other guests were also quiet, and the quiet hours after 10 PM were respected. +Wi-Fi was great and worked perfectly.
Negative: - Either I misunderstood at the time of booking, or it was not clearly denoted on the website, but the “private bathroom” was actually located across the corridor. To use it, we had to get dressed each time and step into a shared hallway, which was inconvenient (though the bathroom did lock, which was good). - The heating in the room worked oddly: when we returned in the evening, it was extremely hot and stuffy, but after airing the room and going to bed, it became a bit cold during the night. The temperature control knob didn’t seem to have much effect. - We didn’t use the kitchen, so I can’t say much about it, but the room itself had almost no amenities — there was no way to make tea or coffee in the morning without going to the shared kitchen.
Summary: Simple stay with a kind host

Positive: The Reception (Owner) is super friendly. It is very close to public transport. No problem at all to get to the landing bridges (harbour).
Negative: The only thing I did not like so much, even though it was not a problem, was that the bathroom is not in your room. Even though it is your private bathroom. You will get a key 🗝️ to lock it but it is across the aisle.

Positive: The Owner of the property is very nice, waited for me to reach the hotel. He is helpful, and I am assisted with all the emenity is in placed. Friendly and diligent to assist in any question post.
Negative: I only got the bath room not attached in the room, and might be the only room left when the time of booking. Anyway, Chris, the owner, helped to secure a bath room for me just opposite my room. I appreciate his help very much.
Summary: Very pleasant stay & right location for family
