Positive: The house was was an exceptionally maintained Victorian from the 1880a. It truly felt like we had stepped back in time. The house had all original detail!! The bed was comfortable, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We will definitely have going back.

Positive: Teresa was a wonderful, gracious hostess, and she prepares delicious breakfasts. We truly enjoyed relaxing in her gorgeous dining room and the bed in the Penley room was very comfortable. We also appreciated that the upstairs bedrooms had strong AC window units during our hot September visit. We stayed 3 nights because it was an excellent point for day trips to Maine’s coast (Portland), central and western mountain area. The Grafton Notch area is a beautiful day trip from Penley House, especially if you stop at all the little waterfalls and roadside pie stand. Penley House is a great location and provides comfortable rest after your daily explorations.

Positive: The B&B was very comfortable and the owners were very accommodating. We had to depart at 4:30am and they left breakfast out for us, which far exceeded our expectations. Our rom was spacious and very comfortable. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I am in Auburn.
