Positive: Large, clean and spacious suites with every little attention to detail thought about. Quality furnishings in the ‘Old English’ style and tastefully presented. A great location with some excellent views across the river. All the staff were polite and helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The owners were particularly friendly and genuinely liked to talk to us as guests and made us feel welcome. Breakfast, as was the light lunch we had on arrival, done to a very good standard with some imaginative offerings.

Summary: A very comfortable stay and would highly recommend.

Positive: Superb breakfast offering a different take on the usual fare. Very well appointed suite with extra touch of individuality. No road noise at night. Very helpful, friendly staff and owners. All in all, the best B&B that I’ve ever stayed in.

Negative: Not much room for improvement. The softness of the bed didn’t quite suit me, though it probably would for others. A few marks on the carpet. That’s about it !

Summary: Really exceptional. For a couple staying in Ely, this is the place to stay.

Positive: I loved this property it was in a beautiful location right by the river. Very close to the city but very quiet & tranquil. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. The suite was very quaint and had everything you need. Excellent breakfast, George was very attentive and enjoyed having a chat with him each morning. A wonderful welcome with tea & cake. It was my husband’s birthday one day and they added a glass of Buck’s Fizz for us both.

Negative: One little thing not that they can do much about it. One of the doors was low and my husband must off hit his head three or four times. I think it was because all the other doors were ok.

Positive: Fabulous location on the river and very close to the cathedral and centre facilities. Fabulous hosts. George greeted us at breakfast and kept us entertained with stories and information about our accomodation, and about Ely. Breakfast was served at a leisurely pace and prepared with much care and attention to detail. We could almost have stayed all morning eating. Our accomodation was warm, homely, quiet, and incredibly spacious.
