Positive: The view was amazing and Tom and Pam were very kind, friendly and accommodating. It was clean and new. The kids loved the bunk bed!

Positive: The tiny home was well appointed, nice and clean. We stayed during high winds so there was a bit of rin in the roof rattling, but other than that, it was excellent. The view is stunning.

Negative: It was a little bit of a drive out of Waipu and the road had a few potholes along the way, but this was compensated by the view and great value of the property. We even stayed an extra night, the bed was so comfy.

Positive: Location was elevated with lovely views and full sun. Bed was excellent, as was the shower. The whole house was fresh and airy.

Negative: Breakfast was not provided and we had some difficulty cooking because of an unfamiliar hotplate without instructions. The microwave was therefore a boon, although a good sized microwaveable dish would have been useful.

Summary: This is a lovely country spot, very quiet except for the delightful calls of guinea fowl.

Positive: Absolutely stunning place to wake up in the morning. A million dollar view! You won’t want to leave it. The cabin is beautiful, modern, clean, and warm (esp in NZ winter). It has everything you need. The rooms are separated by living area which is so good when you traveling with the kids. Enjoyed our lil getaway from Auckland. 10 out of 10!

Positive: Everything about this place is beautiful 👌🏽 You feel on top of the world being situated so high up in the mountains. Definitely very peaceful and private with amazing views. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. Your free to walk around the property and if you have kids the owner offers to allow them to feed the Guinea Fowls with them 🙂

Summary: Highly recommended and very relaxing, definitely one of a kind experience 💯

Positive: Location great for a quiet time away. We were just overnighting on our travels so ideal. Small (compact) ideal for a couple and kids though probs not for a long stay unless good weather and can spill out obto the deck. Fab view. Facilities generally good. Comfy beds.

Negative: Heater didn't work (or we couldn't get it to work) and was noisy. In the end, we didn't need it as small space warmed up quickly once we cooked and settled in. (It was cold and rainy when we arrived) No milk in fridge - usually expect a small jug/carton or UHT containers in accommodation. Cooking pots etc a bit random but sufficient for our needs apart from lack of coffee plunger!
