The gite is situated in a rural area of Provence with pine covered hills, vineyards and olive groves, near the medieval village of Le Val with bakery, shop and restaurants. There is a weekly market. It is close to charming old Cotignac with many more restaurants and markets. It’s central location in rural Provence, 4 miles from the motorway makes it ideal for visiting the coast and lakes nearby.
The gite is attached to the English owner’s villa and is completely self contained with private garden and shady trees. There is a secure parking place next to the gite. In addition there is a large garden and a 33ft x 16ft swimming pool. The pool is surrounded by a terrace with plenty of pool side furniture. There is also a boules pitch to enjoy this popular French game.
On arrival you will find a welcome pack in the fridge, consisting of milk, local wine, bread, cheese and tomatoes. Instant coffee and tea bags are also provided.
Please note that this holiday apartment is for two adults. It is not suitable for children or pets.

Summary: A truly relaxing holiday in a gite that had everything you needed. The owners Bill and Pauline was so warm and welcoming nothing was too much trouble. The area was beautiful with so many lovely places to visit, but sometimes we were happy just to laze by the pool and totally chill.

Summary: comfortable if rather small. Good location. Kitchen would benefit from a grill. - with the gas hob it would be better than the microwave. Very friendly owners. WE HAVE NOT YET RECEIVED THE £80.00 BREAKAGE DEPOSIT

Summary: In spite of late arrival, very warm welcome from Bill with food in the fridge ready for the weary traveller. Excellent accommodation,well equipped and exactly as it looks in the pictures.....2 corkscrews! Bill and Pauline could not have done more to ensure our stay was everything we hoped. Very good suggestions as to where to eat, where to visit, where the best markets were and the 'hot spot' tourist areas to avoid and avery good supply of books to while away the hours in the sun. Highlight was a meal at the local 'La Cremaillerie' restaurant in Le Val - do not miss this one and you will need to book(or ask Bill to phone). Thoroughly recommend this property for the quality of both hospitality and the property itself.

Summary: We spent a week here under glorious blue skies and 30 degree temperatures. Bill and Pauline were excellent hosts with expert information and advice on where to visit, including an excellent beach recommendation! The welcome pack of food was gratefully received after a long drive and the gite is well equipped with home comforts of WiFi and TV. The gite is located perfectly for visiting a range of places. We had trips out to St Tropez, Aix, Gorges du Version and several beaches. All accessible in around an hour. If you don't want to journey out though, you can sit around the delightful pool in the lovely gardens.

Summary: This was our first experience of staying in a Gite and it certainly did not disappoint. Arriving late, for a two week stay, after a hectic days travel from Oxford we were warmly welcomed by Bill and Pauline under twinkling blue tree lights. Our fridge was stocked with cheese, wine, pate, milk and water plus French bread - enough to get us through the night. Awoke to a lovely sunny day (every day was the same) and had breakfast in the well stocked and colourful private garden everyday. First impressions were that description matched exactly and remained so. Very tidy and clean we always looked forward to coming 'home' after our jaunts into the countryside. Le Val close to Brignoles was a very nice little village with communal washing facilities still in use. Our trips out included south to Hyeres on the coast to Lac-du-Sainte-Croix to the north. West to Bras and east to Monte Carlo. And as many places we could in between. The lavender fields on the way to saint-Croix-du-Verdon and Quinson were a couple of our favourites but Monte Carlo and Monaco was not. Cotignac is lovely and can recommend the Le Terrasse Restaurant. Bill and Pauline made our holiday memorable with advise and helpfulness. Very sad to leave and a fortnight ended all too soon. We will certainly stay here again if we do not run out of time!

Summary: This location was our introduction to Provence and we were "hooked". We have now returned from our third (and definitely not last) visit. The gite is perfectly equipped (nothing is left to chance) and wonderfully clean and comfy. An ideal getaway for mature Provence lovers with very interesting coastal sightseeing opportunites a short drive away. Also offers many local possibilities for hikers and nature lovers. Local restaurants and markets cater for both the gourmet as well as fans of more convenient dining. Both Pauline and Bill are wonderful hosts - always helpful and welcoming with great interest in the guests well-being. I would highly recommend this gite and we will return. p.s. forgot to mention the delicious local wine!

Summary: We stayed here for three weeks this year, it was our sixth visit and we have booked for next year too - need we say more? Very relaxing - do as much or as little as you please. Well placed for coast and country. Gite is clean and well maintained and has everything you need. Plenty of local eating places to suit most pockets. Hosts Bill and Pauline are always on hand if help or advice is needed and are a pleasure to be with.
