Positive: We went to Costa Rica the week. It got really cold and still our room was kept at a wonderful temperature with the use of the fireplace in our room. Plus, they also had a space heater to use. We are toasty warm. The room is absolutely as gorgeous as the picture show. The location is wonderful. We enjoyed the clouds rolling into the open AIR breakfast restaurant while we ate our breakfast. my daughter did the waterfall walk and really enjoyed it. She walked through it in about 35 minutes so it’s not an all day thing to go to the waterfall area. Plus all the animal exhibits that are designed to be compatible with the type of animal their housing. This was actually the delight of the trip seeing all the different Costa Rican critters was awesome. Do yourself a favor and try this beautiful lodge. Now I wanna take my husband there!

Positive: This is a splurge place and it’s worth it. So special, waterfall in the bathroom and unique style. Feel like you’re living in the jungle with all the animals nearby. Very very special in every way.

Positive: Our room was amazing! Huge canopy bed, fireplace, and the bathroom was an adventure in itself! The walls were designed to look like stone and real plants were growing on the walls. Double waterfalls surrounded the jacuzzi. Two showers, one with optional waterfall. Also private jacuzzi and seating on the terrace off the room complete with hummingbird feeder. Wonderful staff, professional, informative. Accommodated our every need, even helped arrange ride to airport. Dinner was delicious in lovely dining room next to the fireplace. So much to do: animal exhibits were extraordinary with an educated staff to share details and help identify. Great hike with multiple waterfalls, plus a bus to take you back up the mountain to the lodge. Multiple outdoor heated pools and jacuzzis. A trout pond where you can catch a trout and someone will cook it for you.

Negative: We weren’t able to do the waterfall hikes due to non-stop rain

Summary: Despite the weather, an amazing stay!!!!

The waterfall tour, expertly led by Robin, was a particular highlight, offering a unique opportunity to explore the area's natural beauty and learn from a knowledgeable and passionate guide.

Negative: Not a big deal but the hand shower was leaky, and the water got cold after couple of us used it.

Positive: We loved the amenities in the bathroom! The jacuzzi tub, waterfall shower, the lovely plants and the decorations! We were also very grateful for the packed breakfast that was given to us as we had to leave the property at 3:00am to catch our flight. the staff was so very kind, warm, friendly and helpful! It was os nice to have a beautiful area to explore while we were there with many options of things to do: hiking, fishing, observe animals & butterflies, the spa and the gorgeous view! We enjoyed the whole experience!

Summary: Peace Lodge was a wonderful experience for us! And the privacy we had on our balcony was glorious!

Positive: The views were beautiful ! The rooms were gorgeous .. you could get room service . Food was fresh and exceptional … Housekeeping did a great job ! Loved that there were things to do right on the property . The staff were very pleasant , knowledgable and very attentive .. Helped with whatever they could to assist you in having a very comfortable stay !

Negative: Things closed a bit early . Wish there were more activities . I little more American music at the bar / restaurant .. maybe a night of dancing .. The fact that everything was very expensive . Right down to being billed for bottle water ..
