Positive: The location is perfect for our needs. Having self-catering facilities within the hotel setting is also perfect for our requirements. The reception staff are always polite and helpful. Having laundry facilities is a great plus when doing a long trip.

Negative: Decor in some areas needs refurbishing. Some public areas are not disabled friendly and would benefit with re designing to allow easier access for wheelchair users. Ramps and lifts are in place but awkward to use. Although we're not registered disabled, having arthritis and other health problems, we struggled a lot with our luggage.

Positive: Good location and friendly staff, breakfast good although buffet selection was limited. Plenty of parking and nice pub nearby the river.

Negative: General cleanliness around the hotel and particularly in the room (50 North Lodge) with what appeared to be a blood stained carpet and other stains, visible dust around edges of carpet. Room was functional but looked tired and unclean.

Positive: I liked my room which was spacious. I liked the Inn where we ate a meal overlooking the estuary.

Negative: That there was no information in our room about the hotel. Ie spa information, dining options and other facilities available. I didn't like the stains on the mattress. Breakfast it took 20 mins for our order to be taken and that was after my husband approached a member of staff to do this. After seeing other customers being seated after us having their orders taken before us.

Summary: For the money we paid for one night was not value for money. And disappointed that tge basics were

Positive: Comfy rooms with reasonable facilities in room.

Negative: Slow service throughout. No-one at check-in desk, waited 10 minutes for staff. Cooked breakfast took more than 35 mins to arrive after ordering, and mediocre food when it finally arrived. The few staff seemed really stressed. Ensuite bathroom 'tired'.
