Positive: There was a lot of effort made to prepare for a guest with coeliac disease. The breakfast cakes were home made and very good. There was heating overnight which we appreciated by the elderly family members. We enjoyed playing pool!
Negative: There was a problem which meant that we couldn’t arrive until 6.00pm ( although the door was opened for us to wait at 5.30. We had wanted to arrive at 4.00) There was also an expectation that we would leave at 9.00 am. We were traveling with elderly guests who had found the journey tiring so eventually the departure time was delayed until 10.00 for which we were grateful. This is rather pressured for people on holiday. Elderly guests might have difficulty with the seats in the family room which are low and broad and there are three steps to the bedrooms and kitchen which might be difficult for some guests as there is no hand rail. There is not a jacuzzi/ hot tub but a spa bath in one bathroom (which wasn’t working when we came.) I suspect this is a translation problem!
Summary: A big area especially suitable for families with children with a special breakfast.

Positive: We had a lovely stay at Carmela's peaceful place with pretty views of the mountains. The kids loved the large play areas and toys inside and out, the pigs and chickens in the yard out back and watching the tractors and cattle passing in the street. They also loved Carmela's donut cake! The outdoor table was great as well. The place is very clean. Thank you also to Giada for welcoming us alongside Carmela and translating and Carmela's son Guiseppe for tips on where to walk in pollino national park with the kids.
