Positive: The grounds are beautiful and are a perfect place for birdwatching right from your cozy porch. Otto was a wonderful host - very friendly and easy going, and his enthusiasm for birds and wildlife was lovely to see. It’s pretty quiet in the evening, and I was plenty warm with the blankets. There are a handful of restaurants nearby, and everything you could need in Coban is just 15 minutes away.

Negative: I don’t think there’s WiFi (?) but cell service worked fine so it’s no big deal.

Summary: A wonderful little slice of nature that is still conveniently located. Otto was a fantastic host!

Positive: The site itself is very nice. It was easy for me to get onward transportation. The room was great and i could sit on the porch and watch birds. If you like birds, butterflies and orchids this place is for you. Close to the orchid centre. Otto is great company to chat to and the breakfast and dinners were very good.

Positive: Otto and the family made us very welcome and kept us well fed and very happy in the bar, lots of rum and cokes! It is a very relaxing stopping point for travelling between Antigua and Tikal.

Negative: The hotel complex is very sreep, if you have heavy luggage it would be hard work to carry this up from the car park. I am sure if you ask Otto this question in advance, I am sure they would advise you.

Positive: The place was beautiful- surrounded by nature and very well taken care of. There are lots of little places to hang out and enjoy the nature around. The host was very kind to pick us up from the main road with our bags. We had dinner and breakfast there - both were excellent!

Big clean room with private outside area for relaxing/ reading, drinking water provided and had access to cooking facilities.
