Negative: We booked a double room but were given two beds even though I specifically asked for a queen. The breakfast was so so and expensive. I won’t go back

Positive: The old builing was fascinating and we loved wandering around looking at all of the history. The room was large with air conditioning. Breakfast was ample. Parking was easy.

Negative: We should have realised but the hotel was a 40 minute walk into Cangas de Onis (and it isn't really possible due to main roads) so if you don't want to eat in the hotel you need to drive.

Positive: Great, helpful reception staff. Tasty meals served by the bar. Good selection at breakfast buffet. Ample, free parking around the building. Rooms are spacious, functional and perfectly comfortable. Decor in public areas such as reception or hallways surrounding the central yard is stylish and top notch.

Negative: Like many other paradors, this one is located about two kilometers away from center of town so visiting Cangas requires a car ride and parking in town is not easy. Room decor is dated and reminiscent of the sixties of the last century. No coffee maker or an electric kettle in the room.

Negative: Staff in the breakfast room does not speak English and not kind, not patient, hot meal choice very poor. You cannot pickup the food from the buffet but only using chopstick from your table, annoying. Breakfast expensive and the food at the buffet not tasty, we didn't eat the second day
